Ambient temps and IAT's
Had a drive yesterday with ambients around 10-11degC ..
On highway cruising IATs consistently around +10degC over ambient.
In slow traffic, +15degC over ambients
On throttle for short burst (mbe 4-5 seconds) max this got up to +30degC over ambients.
This is with ASP pulley as only engine mod ... no ECU.
Victor I need that FMIC you are developing !!!!!
Does anyone know when the I/C pump actually turns on - is it synchronised with the S/C?

Steve,
The I/C pump is triggered by ECU but I dont know the exact conditions.. One thing I do know is that the pump USED to run alot more frequently on the older cars and with older ECU versions. Because of all the pump failures, MB changed the ECU code to turn the pump on less frequently at some point after that. It was in an effort to stretch the number of service hours the pump had.
This is why on my car, I disconnected the ECU pump harness and rigged up the trigger wire to a +12V constant accessory switch. When I turn my key to position 2 it turns the pump on.. This is great if you are staging your car or are parked in the dyno room waiting to do a pull.. I have the dyno operator turn on the dyno fans which blast air up against my heat exchanger, and with my car in accessory position my I/C pump circulates fluid and cools the coolant down.
I am working on making this front mount exchanger a "kit".. But first I want to do some testing and quantify exactly what it can do.

Thanks Vadim, i left him a message. Hopefully I can get this worked out soon. There's a dyno day this sunday in la habra, and I want my car to be at its best, since it didnt do too well after the RT tuning.
I'll let you know when I can get an appt. Thanks again

dyno's on sunday are at Dynamic Racing Solutions in La Habra. $50 for 3 pulls with AFR. Im going to pay for that one out of my pocket.
I need to make an appointment at evosport to get some runs done on RENNTech's dime (they're supposed to reimburse me). Evosport seems to be the only one around here that knows what they're doing. RT wants me to dyno in third gear , so thats why I will do a separate appointment. If they're paying for it, I'll do it whatever way they want, but I will probably also pay for another 4th gear run for comparison.

no I still have it. Lee's supposed to call me tomorrow about it. I described what was going on, and he was going to look into it. I assume he's going to talk to a tech or something?? Im taking the car to Jose at JP tomorrow to get my eisenmann straightened out.
