What happened to the NAV DVD 2006.1 torrent thread?

Maybe I'm just a tard but I can't find the thread that had the link to the torrent. Anyone still have it? The disc that I made as a back up keeps intermittantly saying "check navi disc". I eject it then pop it back in and all is well until next time.

Can somebody PM or email me the torrent please?

It was deleted due to integrity, honesty, legal, etc issues. Anyway, 2006.1 is old hat; 2006.2 is out now.

Besides updated maps are there other improvments on the 2006.2 DVD? I know I'm probably just dreaming but will MB ever give us the 3D display mode found on most other nav systems?

Now do you think your comment is going to make any impact on us whats so ever? Let me answer that for you, NO! Yes we have all paid $80-90k for our cars which came with a NAV DVD, but some of us would like to up grade to a newer version and not pay for the thing twice.

The DVD that comes with the car is a POS. There are many documented cases where common places that have been on the map for years are not on the DVD. In other cases, the DVD fails to include a newer 7-eleven or Walgreens that has been built for years. Restaurants are not included that should be and when you search for a hotel you end up in a flea bag.

Essentially the people that created the DVD have made money at our expense with an inferior/worthless product. The upgrade maybe/hopefully contains what it should have originally. Call it whatever you want to but paying $200-$250 or whatever it costs is ripping off the customer. So march right down and pay an upgrade that should have been right in the first place if that makes you feel good/right.
