where to buy the front link to lower my car ?

anyone know where to get the link to lower my w211 E55 ?

I brought my car to the dealership and they ask for $780 to lower my car and it includes the links and alignment ...I think it's a rip off ....if I want to spend that much money ...I rather get a lowering module .

I did a search on how to lower our E55 in this forum ...so either use the washer, that Im kinda worry about in the long run ...or I can try the " Jangy " method ...which I think a lot safer ...or I can order the custom link from the TWS ..which gonna cost me $350 .

help me out guys .
thanks

I've seen links for closer to $200, but i say just modu=ify them if that is the route you wanna go. Keep the oem ones as is and buy a new set for about $40 and modify those. the best for the rear si simply to bend the plate UP a very little bit.

Links

Just get the links from TWS for the front, I have them on the front of my car and they work great. You can adjust them yourself and there is a lot of lead way up or down. I do not trust the washer method, and as far as bending the oem link forget that, you cant adjust it after you bend it, unless you, use washers. Good Luck.

If yoiu are saying adjust, you are wrong. I actually like the links, but don't confuse their versatility with that of a module.

Can you still use the "vehicle rise" feature with these links? How low does drop the car? Do you use these links in conjunction with star diagnostic lowering? Do you need an alignment after installing these links?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm a noob and just picked up my 55 a week and a half ago, just trying to learn about this beast

all airmatic functions still work. It does come with instructions. the links trick the ride height sensors to think the car is sitting too high, so it compensates for it by lowering the car. the links are adjustable, so you can set the ride height to your liking. I dont know if alignment was neccesary, but i did it anyway.

Approximately how much does it lower the car in inches? Do you have any pics of your car that I can drool over? Thanks

You can drop it until the warning light comes on. the digital ELM drops lower, since it is fooling the module and not the sensor.

We should do a side by side comparison of dropped rides and see for sure!

How low do you wanna go??

The links will drop the car more then enuff for the regular person. I don't think anybody here will be driving around with there cars so low that the top of the tires are tucked up into the wheel well.

Best of all, these links are a 1/4 of the price as a module.

Maybe a 1/4 of the cost, but also 1/4 of the functionality. On the fly adjustment (from in the cabin) alone is worth the price difference.

I don't recommend one over another as a blanket statement. To me, it all depends on your wants and needs. At least keep it fair.

you dont need to go further than what the adj. links allow. the car would probly be undrivable if maxed out. Ive got mine set to bring the fender right to the tire..

who knows.
probably.
change in camber will wear the inside fronts fast unless you re-align etc.
