Verdict is In! E55 VS ///M6
My boy Anthony ///M6 had the camcorder set up in his car as we both raced our cars, him in front of me getting onto the Grand Central Parkway here in New York, as we got onto the highway i was in 2nd gear and ready to stomp on it and on his azz so he doesn"t pull to far away from me, as soon as i heard a hint of his Supersprint exhaust i stomped on it, now my car only has 255's in the rear and it was kinda cold out so my tires broke alittle loose, the ///M6 pulled alittle ahead but i didnt let off at all not even for a split second, we both were on it real hard for about 2 long real long exits pretty much a str8t run, once i get the video camcorder back from him tomorrow im going to upload the video and you will all see my E55 creepin on him slowly but surely, 2003 E55 ASP pulley,K&N flat panel filters, and 100 shot Nitrous which was not used disconnected and proven in the video!

Lol i wish you were there it was great, cause my buddy in the ///M6 is a good hearted guy never will he screw anyone over, but he is by far the biggest hater in the world, very negative person and hates to be wrong lose all that.. so im like happier then a pig in **** right now. lol

sounds familiar...and it reinforces what i've been saying, our cars are not as slow at higher speeds as the m crowd seems to think.
there also seems to be a very big discrepancy between the na (north american) m cars and row (rest of world) m cars since all the m car victories seem to be coming from across the pond...and i'm talking about a discrepancy of more than just charcoal filters (lc doesn't count from a roll).

I dont want to dissapoint you but the higher the speed goes the faster the M6 runs...especially after 120...
With ASP pulleys I think you can pull on him till 130-140...if the driver is good and uses S6 mode...

Pretty impressive tho for the M6 to hold off the 55 with the ASP tho for so long - but impressive the ASP catches the M6 as you sped up... M6 should be all over a stock E55...
BUT! It makes Gustav's video of a Stock M6 beating a Kleemann K4 look ... well... stupid?
I would love to know what sort of IAT's the E55 was at over this blast (either absolute) or over atmos?
I am wondering how the I/C performs as speed picks up...

This weekends I will try race stock M6 delimited especially for you guys !!!...So we know the TRUTH ...From 1st gear 50km to TOP End and see how mod 55 does...which less power then Kleemann 640 HP Monster...
I can try this tonight but I wanna get my ECU sorted on Dyno tommorow 1st...so I woudnt have any excuses or througts like "My ECU wasnt tuned inn properly and that why M6 catched up with ME"
Actually I am going to try to race M6 stock and M6 moded at the same time on motorway and see what happens...
Last summer...If we assume after ASP pullies I got too magic 600HP+ number...I runed M5 and it never catched up and M6 Hamann 567Hp passed me at 230-240km (140-148 mph)... but I never runned against stock M6...
I didnt before...I'll do it again

That's highway racing for you...hehehe, I am sure if they would have lined up together the torque of the E55 would have made a significant factor in this race, but who knows, we have to wait for the vid...should be good.

But in regards to the gentleman with the pothole remark, all i got to say is the Grand central Parkway is a long parkway...
Now to the other guy with the how fast question? i gotta believe i started at like 35mph and i started to catch up to the ///M6 at like 100mph and we both reached about 140mph tops. To be honest i think the E63 would have done alot better after 120mph and onwards! But i could be wrong.
Id run him at a higher top speed but i dont like the way this car handles at all! I miss my E39 ///M5 for that reason alone!

This is the opposite of what I would think after hearing about the M-cars above 120, normally we hear of the e55's being as fast or faster than the M's at lower speeds and the M's pulling away above 120. I'm not disputing what you have said, obviously, because you were there, I'm just pointing out that your experience just goes to show that every race is different. can't wait for that video.
like i said earlier, it appears that row cars are stronger at those speeds but u.s. races are showing m's not having as strong a top end as claimed.

m5'ers keep saying it so many end up believing it...regardless of the fact that most of the people saying it have never raced at those speeds and are only repeating "above 120mph" because that's what they keep reading on the m5 board. IT'S A MYTH, at least to the extent that it's been propagated. the m cars could be that good above 150mph but that hasn't been proven either...and probably never will (it's just too fast for all but the best circumstances).

Good call man. I personally think both M's and AMG's are great cars, but I know what you mean about hearing it so many times and it seems true. Its all about fun for me though, I love seeing videos of great cars. JIDEX does it right: all in fun.
