"Do Not Forget Key" message and beep

This drives me nuts. Is there a way to not have it do this every time you shut off the car?

The message is fine, but the beep is horrible. I hope there's a way to turn that off. It's almost cheap sounding.

Thanks in advance.

I couldn't find an answer in search or the manual.

Your dealer can do it via Star Diagnostic

If you have it taken out by STAR, you will also no longer get any other warnings (like left lights on, etc.)

In the short term, I have gotten used to hitting the upper right selection button on the steering wheel. It turns that sound off.

Good stuff guys. Thanks.

I'll tell them when I get the alignment done.

Also good to know about the steering wheel button to shut it up.

Any of the buttons on the left side of the wheel silence my beeping.

Mmm.... I'm not sure if this is correct. I had Steve aka MBenzNL remove the keyless go warning chime and all the other warning (lights, sunroof) chimes still work.

Anyone know where or have a screenshot of the STAR page to do this?

My MBtech and I looked though the settings and couldn't find where to turn off the chime...

Oh really? I will have to try and see. There may be a master setting and an individual one.
