Sorry gang this may be a little off topic since it has nothing to do with E55's or E63's. I attended last nights AMG private event at the NYC Auto Show. AMG unveiled 2 brand new models last night. The new CLK63 Black Edition and the CL65 40th Anniversary model.

The new CLK63 Black Edition production will be limited to 350 units and the CL65 40th Anniversary model will be limited to only 40 units worldwide. NO final Pricing has been announced as of yet. I personally went up to Herr Volker Mornhinweg the President and CEO of Mercedes AMG GmbH and asked him about pricing for these 2 very special vehicles. He told me that NO official pricing has been released,but we should expect to have pricing on these 2 new models very soon. As fare as I'm concerned, until I hear the official price all others are just speculations. On a side note the CLK63 Black Edition is the sickest AMG model I have ever personally laid eyes on. It makes our E55's and E63's look like a bunch of grandma mobiles

Looks like they moved the keyless go button from the shift to the console. That is one bold looking car. If they only make 350 of them there will only be 350 lucky people. Really nice.

It's nice except for the fact that it needs a bit more power to go with the look, standard 63's engine just not enough.

The CLK63 Black is about 300lbs. lighter than my E55 and with 500hp it should go very fast. I guess we'll just have to wait and see till one of the car mag's gets their hands on one to test.

agree. You only get about 25+ more HP. But it is lighter and is the only clk 63 coupe, if it's brought to the US. I personally think the cabs are ugly. I would imagine the suspension is much better too.

Yes the suspension has front and rear adjustable coil overs. It will be the BEST handling Benz to date!!!!

What is special about the CL65 40th anniversary other than the interior?

Does it have more power, different accessories, any exterior changes, etc.. ?

Based on what my dealer said yesterday the msrp will be around $100k for the clkb63 plus you can count on a $15-$20k dealer mark up. It is very nice but for that kind of money I'll take a gt3....in white please.

I asked the CEO of AMG Thursday night at the NYC Auto show AMG special event several times what's the price going to be and he told me flat out there is NO price available yet, but we should have pricing by the end of this month. I believe him, and all others are just speculating.

I think even after looking at the e63, i bealive it was an 030 on the show it was so low , much hotter than e55 ,
e63 s63 and cl65 are the best looking amg's on the show , black series is nice but s63 in silver and e are just sexy , cls is hot too , the new c class is Hot sport or regular , looks like high quality cars , big improvement over the current c . Cl65 in persona is proably the best looking car in the world , Honestly i wasnt too crazy about the black series , o and r8 looked hot
