Wheels- Who makes the lightest?
Does anyone know who makes the lightest 18'' wheels? I am looking to buy some aftermarket wheels that are not only light, but also look nice.. The Carlsson 1/16 UL Ulta Lightweight wheels would be my first choice, but I believe they are about $2,500/ wheel..

'07 Porsche 997TT
yeah, dymags are light - approx. 16lbs FR and 20lbs for the rears. Just saw some pics of them on a 997TT and they are very nice. Not sure how'd they look on an E55. I also heard of some QA issues with them - i'm assuming they've got that in order. I'd be a bit concerned using them on the crappy streets we have around here.
I'm pretty familiar with most of the Porsche fitment wheels but some of the other light forged wheels are Champion, also in the 18-20 lb. area as well as Manthey, and the Kinesis F110. Champion has just come out with a magnesium wheel that is really nice but not all that much lighter than their forged and much more expensive. I think I have some pics of some different wheels on p-cars as I've been hunting for wheels for my TT when it arrives. I'll post them up if you want.

Try www.ccwheel.com About $3000 a set and 20 pounds each.

Neez Wheels are very light and strong. I just bought some 19" QD7's and they weigh roughly 19lbs in the front and 20lb's in the rear. With 18's, I am sure you can knock off a pound or two as well. Go to Eisenhaus.com for more details and pics. I paid $5700 for the set (without tires) so they are a bit expensive but not crazy.
Good luck

Sorry, I was sending him some pricing on the Carlsson rims because his was a little high.
Neez makes one of the lightest, if not the lightest.
I like Forgelines competition series because very reasonable pricing for their lightweight forged wheels. I dont have the exact weights but will post them when I do later today. Here is a pic of these rims..

SL55 AMG, 2006 Range Rover Sport with Kahn Design Package
The Forgeline competition series offers a 18 x 8.5in. front weighing approximately 20lbs. and the 18 x 10in. rear is 18lbs. due to the smaller back padding is smaller than the front wheels.

Which is the lighest/toughest wheel ???
So which wheel is lighter/tougher/better ???
Is it Neez or Rennworx/Dymag (assuming price was not an issue of course)
On Rennworx website, it says made out of carbon fiber outer and forged Magnesium center

Try www.ccwheel.com About $3000 a set and 20 pounds each.
CCW says that my SP500 19x9 weigh 20.5 Lbs and 19x10 weigh 22 Lbs.

The Neez Euro 16 is visually the same wheel as the Carlsson 1/16 UL. The fronts are about 21lbs and rears ~22.5lbs. Forged 1 piece with exceptional quality. They don't need spacers. I received an exceptional price quote from Adam@Euroelites. They have a variety of finishes. Hard to beat the price for quality/weight with the Neez. Just what I have been looking for.

If you want lightweight wheels check out Rays VOLK Racing wheels. I had a set on my pcar 18" x 10" weighed around 17 lbs and very strong.
