Yes, the dealer owed me a key as they only had one, they sent me one of the new chrome keys. Works perfectly and looks so much better than the old one, however I'm so afraid of dropping it.....

My car came with 1 old style and 1 new style key. You have to remember to get the correct blade for the new style key. My dealership ordered the new key with the old blade. The new style blade looks like the old blade but it's design is slighly different.

*Leather holder can be found on ebay.

Here is my Key:

I have just about every option available in 2003 including Keyless go and door open/lock sensors all of these work.

I can walk up to a locked door and pull the handle and it opens. I can sit in the seat hit the shifter Go button with key in pocket and the seat, mirrors and steering wheel move into position. Push it again and engine starts.

I searched the whole thread that was provided above but could not pin down a 100% answer.

Anyone know if this will work with Keyless Go?? I am having my car serviced next week and wanted to order that key and hopefully pick it up then.

You will have to ask them specifically for a key that works with Keyless Go.

I have that new chrome key. If it works for my 2000 W220, it will work for ya'lls W211 for sure.

Check the 211 forum (non AMG). there is a thread there on the new chrome key. They have the link and a tutorial as to how to order it from oempartsdirest for $114. That is much less than the stealership price.

yeah i did this one, but it is for "standard" key with no keyless go. i asked my mb dealer and he said they didnt have the keyless go versions out yet but obviously he was wrong or lied to me because Sandoval has one. anyone know how much a dealer is charging for the keyless go version not the standard version?

eh? no i think you misunderstand me. i have an 03 e55 with keyless go and the chrome MB key i ordered from oempartsdirect.com is a standard key that does not support keyless go. i dont know what the part number is for the keyless go version of the chrome key(it is different). i was hoping someone would help ME out with that information because i want one. the chrome key i got works fine except for the keyless stuff, so i just have it for a spare. i think it is really hard to modify a non-keyless go e55 into one.
