Should I even waste my time on the local track guys??? 4300ft elev.
I am just going out of my frickin mind with not being able to track this car. (closest tracks are Vegas at 5+ hours away and Sacto at over 8hrs)
Local track here opens this weekend, but there is just a mile long list of things that suck about it.
Biggest of course is it sits at around 4300ft elevation, but also is known for not being the best in prep. Think I pulled the big 12.7 last time I went. Saddest part is...... with 20K in mods into it, I might pull the big 12.5 this time.
I guess it would be more for fun than anything, would you waste your hard earned tires/wear and tear on drivetrain to do this?
Just wanted some input.

On second thought, you should just stop dicking around.
Have the bloody thing shipped to New Jersey, hole up in Atlantic City until it arrives, then tear up ATCO and E-Town........

Hey, THANKS Chicago for the Wendover site!! This must be the first year they are up and running with the new website.
That track is pretty rough too. You guys will love this. It's an 2 lane old road (from what I hear) that they made into a drag strip.
Guess I can always work on the launches eh?
I mean, what's the worst thing that could happen draggin in the middle of bumpkin land....

Id say you head out to the Napa Wine Country with the old lady and the beast. While you are out here drop by and pull a few hole shots at Sears Point, or Infineon or whatever the are calling it now a days. Just opened last week and I am looking to drop by in the next couple weeks for a baseline run or two. Elevation shouldnt be more the 100 ft, and temps are always good since the runs start around 4 pm.

When I get to the office tomorrow I'll send you a link to a DA calculator so you can correct your times. I'm not sure, however, that the calculator was designed to correct times from the Himalayas

Just do it, you'll know in the back of your mind that if you were at sea level you'll most likely run better times...the track is always fun, just be safe
