still on Renntech tune. Also since I have new tranny I believe dealer reflashed my tcu.
So its Renntech ECU/ MB TCU. Nothin was MHP this time around.
NOt sure what ever happened to the MHP stuff. Havent heard back from Andy and havent seen anything.
I was just glad to get 11's on my old setup. New ECu should CRUSH the times of the old...Gonna have to wait til march though. I am done racing for the winter. When MHP gets me my ecu back after break in I will do some Dyno pulls, but its too late in the season to hit any tracks now for me....
Will post my slips in a few...gotta go downstairs to scan.

11.994 good stuff still need to get the 11.7X runs of the Black Series listed butthe slip James sent me was blurry. So James if you see this just post up your very best run and then your best trap and et in the 1/8th, 1/4, and best 60 ft.
I will fix the list with what I think was on the slip, please correct any errors

I didnt have a camera guy this time around, so just tried to set it up the best I could and let it run all day
I got a good run of Ahmad's I plan on posting, though its not his fastest to date. Downside to the video is you cant see my launch, but you can hear it. I love how my exhaust sounds now after the work.Once i get my tuning all straight and get a few other things installed i suspect I will knock .20 off my time in march. Gotta work on 60's and add more power
Thanks though. i was just very glad to make it to the 11's before winter. As soon as I had my 11 sec pass I called it for the day. Still feeling gunshy with new parts.

Belated Congrats to MACHC5 in his MHP ECU/TCU CLK BLACK SERIES. This is a HUGE achievement as it was thought the stock 63 This is the 4th best pass ever recorded and the car seems to have gained from the MHP tune. Also the fastest 63 passes have not been added to drag times?? I urge you CLK BLACK series drivers to log your times on drag times. The 55 drivers had several 11.1 passes which knocked the 63 off the pages!!! Comon fellas represent, hell you made sub 11.50 pases yet Andy is the only run posted ? There is another 11.83 @118 in a 63 but the owner failed to supply and or post a timeslip, this is an MKB car(ECU) if anyone knows the car or saw the run at Orlando Speedway please post .. Thanks

Belated Congrats to MACHC5 in his STOCK CLK BLACK SERIES.. Well folks I believe this is the very fatsest stock pass in a 63 to date. Ok we have yet another sub 12 second pass in a 63!
Congrats to: Keith in his MKB Header and MKB ECU equipped C63, amazing pass with a great 60ft.

Get your 11.1 up on drag times and urge the other Black series cars to get on drag times, The barrage of low 11 second 55 passes, especially that other CLK piloted by Ahmad, has bumped the 63's off page 1.
Your 11.x gets us back on page one which does consist of several NOS passes by 55's
I think We will have 3 more 63's under 12 seconds after Famoso

I'll be retesting my stock ECU vs. an MHP ECU in an attempt to come to an objective conclusion of the MHP ECU's performance and value differences.
My reason for doing this is, I'm not sure any performance comparison has been done on the same vehicle, same day, at same location.
God knows, there has been way... too much bench racing with adjustment formulas about Air Temps, Track Prep and icing motors for 30 mins between runs...

I'll then wait 1 hour and repeat the testing for a second set of runs.
Starting with ECU B and then changing to ECU A, again doing 5 to 6 runs on each.

The averages of two events 9 months apart on these 63 based vehicles is again bench racing.
Only a same day Back to Back ECU testing, will give the concrete results most are seeking.

However, just for kicks, and to get a general overview of the numbers, can you average out the runs from both of those rentals to give a rough estimate on where the numbers stand? If you give me some of the times, I can correct both sets of times to zero level for you if you like before you average them out for more relative results.
By the way, your car is running very consistently....

I been quiet here awhile but im going to officially say im good for at least an 11.2 when i come out again in say MArch - April.
I had the 11.4 on my 9th run in a row!
only stopping to swap tires - first time to the drag strip in 15 yrs and a slammed suspension and 1100 miles on the motor.
I'll have the proper tires a better ride height and a more broken in motor.
and maybe some more tricks up my sleeve.
But it will prob. be moot by then Jim will prob. be running 9's by March.
I def. left some on the table.

I'm looking for the average weighted difference, starting with 5 to 6 runs with ECU A, then 5 to 6 runs with ECU B at the track.
I'll then wait 1 hour and repeat the testing for a second set of runs.

Sorry Jim but that proecdure is 100% flawed and will yield only skewed numbers. Anyone that's been tuned by us or even other tuners such as Renntech (aka rarfinancial) will tell you the tune isn't optimal for 200 miles. The first 30-40 being especially critical to how quickly the units learn--if not beat upon in manual mode it will take longer than 200 miles.
I agree with Mo in that taking the average of a number of runs with both ECUs (fully learned) on different nights is the best overall way to test tune A v tune B.
Only a same day Back to Back ECU testing, will give the concrete results most are seeking.
