First of all, my appologies for not having the video that I promised. My son-in-law decided that the Suns/Spurs game was much more important than filming our race. He doesn't have DVR so what are you going to do. Again, I'm sorry.

Second, Jim, it was great to get together. Your car is completely sic! So, here are the results.

1st run-10 mph roll. Jackpro leaps out to a 2-3 car distance before I can even blink my eyes. The 282's and LSD were unbelievable. My jaw nearly hit the floor. I have never been yanked so hard in my car. Even Dragon didn't eat me alive that bad at the bottom. We ran to about 110. After the intitial yank I was able to hold position.

2nd run-30 mph roll. I jumped the gun because I wasn't about to get the beat down that bad two times in a row. I got the red light on that run.

3rd run-40 mph roll. We both hit it and were dead even, pretty much all the way to about 120. Awesome run!

4th run-from a dig. (you know, it's really kind of cool when you come to a complete stop on a highway to race-almost like they do in Russia ) Anyway, from the dig it was just like the first run. I gave up 3 cars and held.

My take on it all. Jim, I predict that your car will run mid 11's in Las Vegas once the temps come down. At sea level I really believe, with your dig out of the hole, you'll be running very low 11's, perhaps 11.1. I do think, however, that with your mods and cooling, you should have pulled me on the top end. When I raced Josh, he had a nice even slow pull on the top as my car started pulling timing. Get that looked at. By the way, when they find out what's going on, find someone else to race! I don't think I could take a total and complete beat down.

Thanks again. And for those of you who don't condone street racing, know that we were on a pretty open highway with virtually no cars around at all. Good, clean fun.

Jackpro1 has the Evo cooling mod. I'm stock. That's why I said that Jackpro1 needs to get things checked out because at the top end he should have kept pulling.

On a funnier note, you should have seen the look on the face of the guy driving the modded First Gen Camaro going the opposite direction...two M/B's lined up, stopped on the highway getting ready to roll. It was classic. I was kind of hoping he would turn around and come after us. He probably knew better.

i don't think they ran high enough for jakpro to run out of gears. they're only 2.82's which isn't that big of a jump from the oem 2.65's and probably not going to affect top end until around 175...if at all.

You guys are learning LOOOL ...

Nice race...I wish you had any kind of the videos of those runs...

I spanked Evotech 700 HP SL55 last night 3 times in the ROW...The guy was shocked since he thought...Everyone was telling how powerful he is including M5 onwers...

He tought was the fastest and he also had 325 tyres at the back...I was bit scared and thought that he would take me of the line since my tyres are almost bold also... but it didnt happand ...May be its dues 2.82 diff SL55 have and they are harder to launch, cause I also beat Evotech SL55 682 HP to 240 km and then he starts pulling on ME...and both of those cars have TCU's...

those 700hp and 682hp claims has to be real snakes...

Evotech is no BS...They dyno their cars...Silver SL pulled 682 HP on dyno..

One Merc I dint run against still is anything with AMG 65 motors...I wonder if mod e55 would have a chance against stock 6.0 liter twin turbo W12...

I would get all the mods possible if I wold have more cash...I getting TB 1st, then LSD or TCU...

maybe you dont understand that POWER IS NOTHING without proper cooling. you are wasting your money without proper cooling. its like running NOS and then your bottle got empty in 20 seconds. is that really fun? nothing personal but i just cant understand that.

its like putting football-size turbocharger with intercooler size of toast.

I understand but you dont understand

I dont have that much of a cooling problem...From what I've read here, pushing the car hard even with Evo Cooling package, the temps still raise, like on stock car but then will go down faster after the run if finished, motor would cool down faster...I dont run my car more then 2-3 times in the ROW and my temps never go higher the 100C...

Yesterday was about 20c at night did two runs in a row and never went over 100C...by the time I line up again about 5 min, the temps would again drop to 90C...

phew. IAT which means intake-air-temperature has NOTHING TO DO WITH ENGINE TEMPERATURE ON THE CLUSTER!!!

thats cooling temperature which reads on the cluster in cabin!!!

ITS NOT INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!!!!

or do you have IAT logger where you read temps all the time?

oh boy. its engine coolant temperature which reads there. it lies something around 2-3c like VRUS mentioned. BUT ITS NOT INTAKE-AIR-TEMPERATURE AND NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!

Intake-air-temperature is temperature which air goes in to the cylinders. coolant temperature is totally different thing.

somebody with better english can explain this to you please. maybe you are getting to understand what is the point of cooling-kits

read again. evosport cooling-kit works JUST LIKE THAT

Gains (CA 91 Octane)*:
- 70-80F degrees reduction in Air Charge Temperatures (ACT)

ACT means the same as IAT

OK...thank you... if it works like than ...Why then Jims e55 didnt start pulling at higher speeds from Renntech one ???

Does Renntech stage 5 includes intercoolers ??

Even Rflow who has most powerfull E55 here does use Evo cooling kit...

Evo cooling kit probably would be more useful at the race track...

Im just trying to help you E55RUSS.

There is somekind of problems in Jakpros car that we doesnt know.
Reason why K4 lost in Gustavs videos is too high IAT and reason for that is inproper cooling for IAT.

cooling-kit is most biggest thing in street-racing when pulls are long. short pulls like 1/4 cooling kit isnt so big thing. you are doing long runs like 50-150 and so on, and thats why you need it the more than anything.

No, the Stage 5 does not have the cooling kit. That's why I was surprised that Jackpro1 didn't pull me on the top end. You'll have to ask him about his monitoring of the IAT's and what he's found.

Sorry about not inviting you. I didn't think you would want to make the trip to Northern Utah for this one. We'll get something going this fall in Vegas. Jim has already said he's down to come to Vegas for a little street and track action.
