Euro Comand is the better than any Ipod...
I was able to get into to the engineering menu and turn on the mp3 feature for my Euro comand. It is the coolest thing I have found out about on my E55. I have 30 high quality cds on 1 dvd+r. It works great and the comand unit shows all of the folders on the disc. It really is incredible. Just had to share. The steering wheel controls it easily and the sound is better than any cd with the cd changer. It is actually louder by a few dbs too. If you are thinking about the Euro comand at all, get it. The MP3 dvd function alone is worth it. My kids like to be able to watch movies driving down the road too!!
Just think, a dual sided disc would get me 9 gb of music on 1 disc!!

Yeah, I have an '03 e55 and apparently those COMANDs are the same as the european ones. I like the British voice on the NAV and being able to watch movies while the car is going. I have not tried to play an MP3 disc yet though. Maybe I'll make one tonight if I get off work at a reasonable hour. I do have the iPod interface but I would not really recommend it as it's expensive and the controls are not great. It's nice to have 75g of music with me but it takes too much work to get to what I want.

Well the fact is you can manage all the music a lot easier when it is put in that folder arrangement and the speedometer shows the song and disc playing. When I pull up the audio selection with the mp3 disc in, it says MP3 on the comand unit as well. Now I just need to add a sub or 2 and I should be good to go.

There are a few euro command u can buy for cheap. Just do a search.... as for MB financial if you are going to do any mods I would keep the stock stuff and return it to stock from once ur lease is over.....

I don't think Steve is doing the swap any more as he has way too many US COMAND. I'd just buy a one from Steve and install it, but like Chrisitian said, keep the stock COMAND and swap it back at the end of lease.
