I beat numerous 929/954's from an 80-160 punch. But anything under a 60, I get destroyed (unless it is a 600)

OK...mental note...no C6 Z06 from a roll, only from a dig! Holy smoke, I knew they were fast but that's ridiculous. I ran one on the street from a dig to about 100 and he was only 1/2 car ahead by 100. We goofed around a bit on the freeway but weren't able to find an open stretch but I could tell that it would have been a much different story at "roll on" speeds. There's a nice black C6 Z06 at the local dealer with 2000 miles on it. I may have to look into a trade. Nah, probably not...I like my seat massage too much.

Well I guess that finally ends that debate, I didn't expect the beating to be that badespecially against a modded to the limit E55k Renn stage 5!! damn!! Imagine the Z06 w/mods and another 100hp holy****e!!
I figure all those other kills, and within a couple length runs with other e55k's vs. C6 Z06's really are Z06 driver error/incompetence.
Thanks for sharing guys! great stuff!

Correct me if I'm wrong here but dont you have to have an ecu tune done when you change the filter out on the C6 Zo6? Maybe that was old news or wrong news. I was under the impression that if you changed out the filter that the ecu tune was needed and thats where alot of the added hp was from? Some were saying you get a CEL if you do just the filter, maybe from the change of air flow?

NIce race guys. Good sports. Here's a vid of me racing another heavily modded Z06. I'm the yellow one.

11.2 @ 129 at E-town with just an aftermarket air filter.
You just can't touch these cars at the strip ( or highway).
Not even an SLR can keep up. Kudos to the bow-tie boys!!

You need about 560rwhp in an E55 to hang with a stock Z based on rwhp to weight ratios. There is no such package to get to that level (excl NOS).
I'd love to see a stock CGT vs. stock Z06 since there really isn't anything out there under $400k that will shut down the Z. It would be fun to see the Z make the CGT sweat.
Can you imagine when they add another 150hp to the Z07. It could be trapping 135-140.
If they made the Z06 in auto and you added slicks and a stall converter, it would be running 10.5s@127. That car is crazy. I wish I could test drive one.

EVOVIIIYOU are you running 20s in the back and 19s in the front.
This will put you at a disadvantage..
Do you have an addditional heat exchnger.
I don't want to sound like the guys on another unnamed board so let me first say nice run to both of you guys. The Z06 is an exceptional car. I am just surprised at the number of car lengths that he was able to put on the RT Stage 5. Especially right off the jump. The RT stage 5 puts out 100 more Ib/tq.

Sleeper, scratching my head to..........at least a little bit. I did not expect those results but props to the ZO6. Mean machine!!!!! I did not expect it to walk like that if trap speeds are only 2-3mph different.

I wish I was trapping at 140+, lol. That would be cool.. I have ran my car at the strip a total of five times, and the best trap is ~126. I am not much of a drag racer and enjoy roll on racing much more.

I am trying to set this up. Granted I am not bone stock, I am very much near stock. Les actually has a friend with a CGT and I am hoping we can set something up. If we do, I will let you guys know and post the results. I would love that but expect to get beat pretty handily..

e55 baller,
How is it that you have a 03 E55 AMG with 486 rwhp/560 rwtq through a stage 2 yet Les has a stage 5 with the same HP and 30 rwtq less??..

Cars with an ASP pulley or a Hennessy pulley make more boost. It is not uncommon for a car with an ASP, headers and ecu to make from 480 to close to 500 rwhp.

+1 ASP pulley more boost plus evo headers which imho is a better design than the renntech. I think vrus with evosport headers gave him 30 rwhp only. What I would like to see is a car like rflow or eballer again the Zo6. I think mix and match parts would yield more hp and better results.
