Track Day at MIR - 10/08/07
It was 90 friggin degrees!!!No problem guys. I had a blast seeing all those amazing cars run and meeting everyone. It seems like everyone (not just mbworld) wants to do this again very soon. There is MUCH more interest this time and I'm sure the spots will fill up fast. I think 50 cars was a good number and allowed everyone to make as many passes as they liked. If anything we could fit more.
There has also been a good amount of interest from a few other posts I made on BMW forums.
me.Knowing how fast that C55 is just makes me appreciate the C6 Z06 that much more being N/A and that fast. Add some engine tuning or F/I and watch out!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Because of you I gotta say i know how to launch my car 100x's better.
PS,yep! Craigs car(C55) is a monster!
I thought those wheels only came in 19's. Are those off an S65 or another car?

Thanks to everyone who attended.
Special thanks to Pat who made the drive possible and for working his butt off
at the track, he could have easily bailed on the trip since his car was not ready but decided to come just to help. Anyone who has met Pat knows he is a class act.
Jrocket- You suck for not coming.

Jaenius- You suck too, see you at AA tomorrow.

Jody we will be hanging out some more when you move down to the 305-954.

I do have to admit that I missed having my 55 there. It was fun watching all the 55's run along with Stephen's S, Jay's CL, the C55's and and all the others. Those are great running cars guys! Again, it was great meeting all you guys and I look forward to doing this again when the weather actually cools off.
Ahmad, thanks again for setting this up. We had a great turn out with a ton of cool cars.
Derrick thanks for the local hospitality from you and your really cool pops. I will definitely drive up again if Ahmad has another event.
What's a thousand miles to hang out with some friends.

Jason it was good to finally be able to put a name with a face, you know what you need to do.

Last but not least Benz-O-Rama for the chicken and the water, also the two guys with the very clean supercharged SL500's you can e-mail me your questions.
On BFGs 4 years ago I managed a 1.8 60-foot stock. My IATs were 110-112 at the tree and hit 150 at the 1/4 marker. I didn't run the meth and my check engine light was on before I arrived at the track (at Benz now getting looked at -- bad air pump).
There was a stock wine colored E55 that ran a 12.72@109 ...so you can get an idea as to how hot it was. I checked the DA and at 91 degrees with 60% humidity, and a 29.8 barometer it was 2450 ft.
I am coming back Sunday Nov 11th for test & tune with drag radials. Lesson learned but it was fun!
Stephen -- your S600 is a beast...what an all around sleeper...the color, no tint, thats a 10.50 car when its cooler out.
E55Jay -- Your car dead hooks with those Kosei rims...what kind of rubber did you have again. Thanks for the offer for swapping out your rims but I had to roll out earlier than expected.
Patrick / PTE -- let me know when those heads are ready!
RFLOW -- your car is sick fast and looks awesome! 123.5mph is awesome w/o the spray and with the pano roof. Safe travels.
Craig -- I am still amazed at your C55 running 110-111mph. A N/A car is not supposed to be that fast! Awesome 4 lb battery. Thanks again!
DJE -- note to self...stand down any race with a Z06.
