Anyone have defective wiper blades?Chattering across window?
First day in the rain since i got it and the wippers are driving me mad, they chatter so loud across the window.
I pulled in to check i cleaned them and the windsheld and nothing got better, it is worse in the 1st and 2nd selector position, full speed its not as bad.
Back to the dealer some time this week, hope the rain eases up its very loud and annoying.

car is brand new, car came from FL so it looks like they are dried out and the heat must have also contributed to my flat spotted tires who knows how many months it sat in the blistering sun on the lot in FL:
I hope they change them while i wait one day this week

I had one wiper that was chattering and I sprayed a little silicone lube on a cloth....wiped on, let it sit, wiped off.
Problem solved ( 4 months ago)

Its probably wax on the windscreen. Makes it less slippery - like surfboard wax. Causes the wiperblade to chatter.
Clean the screen properly with windex etc. Apply RainX generously(rain/water repellant) afterward. Fixes the problem for me everytime.

Please move to x164 thread...
On my 2012 GL550 I'm having the same knocking issue, mostly noticeable when driving slower speeds and going over bumps. Doing research looks like this is caused by the front suspension (anti-rollbar/swaybar links). I found a video on youtube that walks through replacement. Both sides should be replaced as a set, looks pretty straight forward. I'm going to order the links and report back with my results.

Update on my swaybar link installation. Clicking/chattering sound is gone!
Its an intermediate DIY, you need the right tools to get it done, luckily I had everything I needed in my garage.
Need 2 car jacks to elevate the whole front end and release the pressure on the links from the suspension. (I also used 2 jack stands under the front support bar for safety)
Took about 1.5 hours beginning to end. Easy enough project for $40 in parts.
I went with the Febi Bilstein links. They have a full metal backing, looked better made than other aftermarket links.
Price ranges from $18 - $34 per link.
