Quick sprint vs an M6 & a S2000
On my way to work this morning i had the pleasure to line up next to a very nice looking black M6. I'm not sure if it was stock or not, but it had aftermarket exhaust, tints, & black hre's. I was driving behind him for awhile until we got to a light & i got right next to him. There was not much traffic & when the light turned green we both punched it, i gained about 2 car lengths on him right out of the dig, it pretty much stayed that way with me gradually pulling on him until we got to the next light. When we stopped at the red, an s2000 comes blowing past us & takes the red light 
I think he was pissed becasue we didn't really notice him while the M6 & the E55 were playing. 
The Honda took the red a good 1-2 seconds after it changed!
At the red light i had a car in front of me & the M had no one in front of him. I tried to look inside the M6 to see who was driving, but between both of our tints it was impossible to see inside. Light turned green, the road ahead was full of construction, so we each went our separate ways.
I'm pretty proud of my E55, even with a bit of wheelspin i was able to handily beat an M6.

Good kill man. S2000 drivers are the redheaded stepchildren of the street racing scene. Anemic and easy to overlook.

.....I can't tell you how many times I have seen an honda/acura/toyota/etc...blow by me unanouced, weaving through trafic, and doing simply moronic things.
I honestly feel that some of these dinks will make up for what their car lacks in power with daring acts and the ability to risk lives. They are children alright. I literally see it daily.

Probably stock....Don't think it will catch up if the E55 is "heavily modified". I Have seen it with my own eyes, not a chance. Then of course it is not fair I guess...

not sure about that, he's not stock, check his sig.....
anyway, I've raced an M5 and M6 from 70MPH to 160MPH and was ahead the entire time.... good pull on the M5, less on the M6.....

The M5 is faster from hwy speeds than a stock E55 if driven properly. Of course from a dig, the AMG takes it. Also, the M6 is no quicker than the M5, and a whole lot less practical. Sounds like the driver made the difference with the two examples you came across.

the M6 is quicker..... anyway I said the initial person who started this thread was NOT stock either.... I don't think "Fantasm" who I was responding to noticed that....
Good run but you're not stock though.

He also said that the M6 had exhaust work at the least. From a feeway roll, I pulled 1+ cars on a new M6 to 110+ when my car was bone stock. If anything, the cars are about equal from a roll. Maybe he would have passed me if we had room to run up to 150+, maybe.

I've taken stock 55's on the highway, I know that's possible in a stock M5. But anything from Stage 1 on will kill an M5. Forced induction helps.
A lot of M5 drivers push their M5's like Camry's. They don't understand gearing and power characteristics. You have to really understand the car to get all of the juice out of it. Its not a mash and go car.

where the heck were all you guys when gustav was in ny? he was out doing 180mph runs with jidex and not a single e55 showed up. i'm thinking about crashing his phoenix visit but he gets in late saturday night and leaves early sunday morning so i'm not sure there will even be any "driving".

We had no idea he was here, when Jidex told us it was too late and he was gone already. Everyone was surprised he was in our own backyard, lol! Go figure...
I think they just did not want us to roll up on him, he might get scared or something, who knows...
