I Cannot Stand Driving My E55 Anymore!
Woohoo... be happy because its an easy, fast fix and you will have your POWER back!
The IC Pump, WILL NOT throw codes, so the dealership will miss it, especially if the guys there are clueless about typical 55k problems -- like the ever popular intercooler pump failure.
Fully covered by warranty, call the dealership now and get that bad boy fixed up today!
The issue with the IC pump failing is that the air intake temperature will rise....once the air intake temperature exceeds ~225 degrees, the computer will disengage the supercharger. However, the intake air temperature must first reach 225 degrees. Until this happens, the supercharger should be engaged and the car should be at full power. It should take several minutes from a cold start for the temperature to rreach 225, and when this happens, there will be a dramatic and immediate decline in power.
That is not what he is describing. I have had my SC shut off before and when it happens the car is dog slow......
His car is still fast, it's just clearly not where it should be.
there must be another issue haunting these cars and i wish we could diagnose it, as several people have been reporting this problem to the board and the overwhelming answer is always "check the IC pump"....However, i think it is something else.

Worth a shot. See if the stealer will put one on for you. Takes about 60 seconds tops with a tech.
Betcha it perks up nice.

This is my take.Your IC pump is failing and the weather at the track that day was terrible.12.1 for a K2 car is a perfect example.
Another thing, dont even judge your car against another car on the street.Unless you know the person and the car.You will never know what the other guy might have done to his car. Some of my cars look and sound completely stock, but are far from it.

What about comparing your recent time slips (13.x) w/ your old ones (12.x)?
There is a thread in which a member asked why he got worse time after some mods... and looking at his 60' time, after the mods, his car puts more power and he seems to have traction issue that caused ugly 60' time and worse 1/4.
It's all just a guess...
You'll be able to check the IAT (intake air temperature) yourself. If it's high, you'll be able to show the log file to MB.
My car was running a little slow and inconsistent (12.5 - 12.9) relative to the mods I have installed. I suspected the intercooler pump was failing and took it to the dealer. No error codes, though, so no pump replacement. The SA suggested the problem might be supercharger belt slip.
On my most recent trip to the track my times got quite a bit worse: back-to-back 13.2s. But this time I had the data logger attached and was tracking the IATs. They were 205 F at the start of the second run and reached 266 F at the end. Way too high.
I provided that info to my dealer yesterday and am hoping and expecting them to replace the pump.
Good luck to you! Don't give up yet!
If that does not solve the problem, then invest in a data logger and start logging data, which (believe me) will become very important in pin pointing the problem if the issue is bigger than an IC pump or a transmission software flash.
Also, try another dealer for a second opinion.
Good luck, and keep us updated...
For a dyno, I don't know how far from you but these guys know their **** - http://www.eastcoastsupercharging.com/contact.htm
Good luck.
PS - beautiful color and tint
There are a bunch of good guys here who can steer you in the right direction.
Most experience the IC pump failure.
An upgrade I noticed several doing is switching to the 2k6 S/C clutch pack and new Supercharger belt if you have not done so or if your car is an earlier yr.
By all means chg your S/C belt regardless.

I was one of the first guys to diagnose this problem with my previous '03. The tricky issue with the IC pump is that it is not a complete failure. I haven't been able to see a failed pump but what I can tell you from my '03 is that it was a gradual failure over thousands of miles with symptoms much like the Doctor here is having. After a while the supercharger started disengaging altogether and that's when I was sure something was up. Sure enough my tech took a look and found the problem right away - got the car back and she was flying again.
Doctor - I'm almost certain you have an IC pump problem and an incompetent dealer. I'd contact DSMed on the forum - he's my tech and can give you a bit more insight into what you should tell your tech to do to find the IC pump codes through STAR. If you need any help contact me via email I'd be more than happy to help you.
