This is a run vs. a 625hp Lingenfelter Z06. When I hit 2nd gear, I thought I might have had him, but then my car looks as if it fell on its face in third gear as the Z06 pulled on me.
Time for more mods and a diet.

What mods are left for you to do? Aren't you heavily modded already? Maybe its time for a new whip
I'm not trying to call you out or be rude, but isn't hoping for a kill on a modded C6 ZO6 reaching a little too far maybe

Well it is definitely no Comp, you are talking about a car that is at least 1K less in weight. The power to weight ratio is a very big factor. None the less very good run.

Ouch~but no surprise here~
ur car is a beast to hang with that Z06 till 2nd gear~
I've driven the Z06 with the same setup last month and its the scariest/fastest car i've ever driven (at least it feels like it).

NOS to me is like Bane using that "juice" that makes him strong enough to break a boat in two or something; its 'cheating'.
Isn't using NOS bad for our cars anyway?

Well you did have on the stck heat exchanger and a few lil issues here and there. Once you're all sorted out I say go for it again and see what happens, If the results are the same it's time for the SL65. Modded that is! Luxury and(Intercoolers, turbo's,exh,ECU mods). With the same $$ spent you would have had a 10 sec SL65 like Treynor by now. Ask E55JAY!

Hmm. There is one SL65 on the board that has run a 10.853 @ 124.929.
You do realize that those cars are even heavier than the E55s. If Treynor's car is only putting out 611rwhp (no disrepect to Treynor) he would have no chance beating that Lingenfelter. As a matter of fact, judging by the trap speed on the SL65 (that was running with drag radials), I don't think it would have a chance with the Lingenfelter either.
I believe that an SL65 would have to put down about 800hp at the wheel in order to run head to head with a 625hp C6 Z06 due to the weight differential.
For what it is worth, I am going to line up a couple of races against an SL65. One is stock and the other is a Renntech SL65. Where would you put your money.

BTW, is the RennTech SL65 silver with carbon fiber interior? If yes, then I think I know the car, its badass bro.
And amazing run against the Z06! Dude, I had no idea your car was that fast! Hanging with a Lingenfelter Z06 up to 80 is ridiculous!
With a 125-150 shot you would probably get the jump in the beginning but at 3rd gear he would start to creep up. It would be a great race. Its so easy to use N2O in the 55k cars, and it can't hurt to just have it all setup and just keep the bottle out unless you know you're gonna need it. But I completely respect your position and understand why you feel its no good. Plus you have enough torque to have fun lol. Why are you still running with a stock heat exchanger? With that kind of power, you gotta switch it out dude.

We see what a turbocharger does for a little 2.0L 4 cylinder motor. Imagine what upgraded ones and an upgraded intercooler system can do for an SL65 regardless of it's maybe 2 to 300 lbs more weight than an E55.

Well, all I can say is that it's finally been done. My buddy Lou, came to the track with us today and with a little Drag Race coaching from me, finally ran in the 10's. His car is an '05, with RENNTech ECU and CF airbox, he is also running Mickey Thompson ET Street radials on custon made 17" wheels. The weather on this run was: 61f with 17% humdity, track elevation is 1250ft.
Here's the slip from that run (I ran him in my Porsche):
He ran again and trapped over 130mph, here's the slip from that run:
I think this car could go 10.5 -10.7 in the right conditions.

I'm scared of NOS I say go all motor until physics kicks in where you've reached your max concerning bolt ons. When that end is reached I say go for another Lux car that has the potential to meet your goals while spending the same exact money on mods or perhaps even less $.
Not too many modded cars out there are gonna wanna or be able to deal with a nicely modded SL65 up top. Give me the upgraded Turbo's,intercoolers,Stck LSD,bigger brakes, stiffer suspension, bigger diffs and axles anyday if I'm trying to run the Linginfelter or the Supermodded 911 TT.
P.S. and Frank your my homeboy so I don't want you to think I'm taking anything away from the BEAST,If anything I want you to go out there, put heads out and show folks what time it is. Whether it be E55 or SL65. I'm all behind you representing!

Here is a slip where the same SL65 also trapped over 130mph. You can't base his high 10 sec 1/4 mile @124mph on just one run. My car can do 102mph on one run and 114mph on the next in the same distance depending on alot of different factors. A great 60' can sometimes result in low traps in the 1/4 mile. temp as you know as well. Still it's believed that this SL65 only has ECU mods and perhaps no hardware at all.
On a side note, If Ranger can trap at 129.5 in a stock Z06, where do you think a Lingenfelter with 120+ more hp will trap. My guess is much higher than 130.

that car has ecu/airbox/tcu/lightweight rear drag setup, frank this isnt offered just yet as the tranny cant take it. As it it there are issues at this power level for my tranny, I can launch so hard it will go in limp home mode, ask anyone with a biturbo and they will tell u the same. I must also comment that this original post is a roll on race then we get into 1/4 time which isnt fair in a way specifically when talking about the biturbos because alot of that ET come from being able to launch on boost. I think you will find some of the e55's like sleeper rflow etc running very similar times as the modded 600's/65's at MIR. Again frank your car is ***** out fast!!!
