Feeler for E-Town Rental in Early November
Guys - I put a call into Englishtown to inquire about a rental in early November. I suspect it will have to be on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday (not sure you can get the track on Wed. or Friday if gates open at 5:00 for everyone else to run.)
I am guessing that, like Atco, it will be limited to 15 cars. I don't want to start throwing out figures, but I am going to GUESS that the cost for a prep'd track will be about $150 per person.
I was going to wait until after the MIR event to post about a rental, but I know from experience that lots of tuners try to book up the track rentals during November when the air is best.
So if people are interested and really believe that they can make it, let me know. I posted about the possibility of a rental on M5board, and a few of the local guys are interested in participating.

OK guys - I'll let you know when I hear back from the track. I will probably book a date next week and leave a $250 deposit. In the next couple of weeks, I am going to get a list of 15 (or 14 plus me 
) and then worry about getting checks from those that are coming.

OK guys. Forget E-town. Not only are they more expensive by $50 (which isn't the worst thing considering how much further Atco is), they only allow cars to run on one lane.
Now - who would be interested in taking a drive to Atco?

OK - here's the latest:
Left a message for the manager at Atco. The voice recording said that there are no remaining rental dates for October and November. I mentioned in my message that I am trying to put together an event for AMG's and M's, and that I had been there twice before for rentals.
Let's see what he says.
I also spoke with a tuner who has let me participate in his events in the past. He may have a few slots that he can offer up to us at Atco, but there are no guarantees.
The only good news here is that Atco used to allow track rentals in December. So it is possible that we might be able to secure a date in December. So long as the temp stays above 40, we can run.
Next year, I will start planning way out in advance.
