DTM 3.06 Gear and DTM TCU...
Jakpros...2.82 experience and his advice...got ME thinking about 3.06 gear ratio from CLK DTM...
We could also get CLK DTM TCU and it should be a good combo...the car be a killer at any speed and would much better in 1/4 with DR...
So I am thiking of doing this modifications 3.06 gear along with Qualife Diff and CLK DTM TCU...
What do you think guys is it possible, will it work well...or extra shift in 1/4 wont help ME...

Your car will hit the rev limiter at ~196mph ... not enuf is it for for Vmax - or maybe just enuf - think M5/6's run to 202/203?
For qtr the extra shift on the auto is not so bad as a stick ... but the problem is 4th gear - its veeery long gap from 3rd ... so the extra shift will erode allot of what you gain earlier on asumming you can get it to hook up ok...
I think 2.82 is nice fit ... 3.06 not so sure.

OK, let me clarify something first. I have no experience with a 2.82 versus 3.06 gears with E55's...
However, being an old Mustang 5.0 guy (lots of 'em on this forum) I will tell you not to get your expectations too high. A 2.73 rear-end Mustang and 3.08, 3.27, or 3.55 geared car ran almost identical from a roll. The biggest difference would be on the strip out of the hole.
On the street with the E55 you will have a tough time hooking-up in first gear. From a roll a 2.82 and 3.06 car will be virtually identical - perhaps you will notice a bit of difference in 3rd/4th gear (like a fender) but that is it.
So, if you plan to put slicks on your car for the strip good move. But on the street you will spin too much if in 1st gear.
The gears will make the car SEEM faster, though...
