Even if there wasn't a report in the area of inciden, I'm sure a local dealership of that area would know who the owner of the SLR is. That SLR has to be a local car to the area of the incident. The owner can be notified then and make a proper police report if there isn't one already... Then the info on the two clowns can be forwarded to the owner. Would love to know how this turns out...

I'm sure the owner of the SLR can afford to have this punk tracked down and dealt with. I'd borrow money from the bank to find this POS and wouldn't mind pulling a few weekends at the county jail if needed.

Hey Rah,
Hold on to it... Let's see what the detectives come up with... The biggie is Identifying the cars... I hope they filed police reports... And I hope this really occured in the location they said it did. That's the key.

As an ex-prosecutor I can only say that you all bring a tear to my eye... I've never been more proud of a group in my life. If everyone were as hard-nosed and motivated as you lot, we'd have few unsolved crimes.
I agree with the SLR comments. Should be easy to find the owner. How many black SLR's with hood damage are there in the US? Can't be a big crowd. Add 1 or 2 victims, a good PD and DA's office, and we'll get some SERIOUS satisfaction.

I'm very proud to be a member here, that's for sure...
I have not heard back from the LVPD Sergeant yet... My guess is that he has not found a report made to damages on these cars, at the location I suggested... the Fashion Show Mall Las Vegas, Nevada.
Now...
It could be that it did not in fact happen there, -OR- It did, but the person did not report it to the police.
If this is the case, my next step is calling all the MB dealers in Las Vegas, an talking to the Service Mgr to see if a Black SLR came in for a Damaged Hood.
There can't be too many of these cars in Black around.
I'm going to call Back the LVPD on Monday... It will have been 1 Week. I so hope we can get some justice for these people, I know if it had been our cars we would have been seriously Ill. It would have destroyed me for sure.

Wow, good work guys. I like how your'e handling this. Unfortunatley Law Enforcement typically finds this sort of thing too unimportant to go after. I guess if all else fails we can find a more direct solution to the problem.
