Would E500 seats fit in an E55?

I want to buy a 2004 E55 but find the seats too snug. Does anyone know if I could swap them out for seats from an E500? Also, would the colors match? The E55 I want has the charcoal interior.

Are you sure you totally adjusted them to be "open" and if equiped, the Dynamic function turned off?

Too snug? I say try the adjustments again. It softens up and is quite cushy. I wish it had better latral support.

This was my first time trying E55 seats. The specific problem for me were the side bolsters being to tight. I found the adjustment that made the bolsters wider. I had it on the widest setting and it was still squeezing my lats. Are there any other adjustments to make the seat back wider? Thanks guys. I drove an S55 a while back and those seats seemed much more comfy.

Dynamic seats will fill the bolsters on turns to keep your body from leaning. The button to turn it on/off if equipped is all the way on the bottom of the adjustment panel you found and says "Dynamic". Push the bottom to turn it on or off. If you don't see that button then the car is not equip with it.

I know, not really helping here but...last summer I was getting my subwoofer/amp setup fixed and some guy rolls up to the shop with an older 7 series, walks in and heads straight for the sparco racing seat sitting on the floor. He picks it up and walks over to the register and asks "could you guys install this in my bimmer?" Me and the cashier both looked at eachother and

I have a bench seat from a 1994 Ford 150 that may fit across there...
I'll throw in the gun rack for free!

Don't really understand the dosh bag comments. I like the E55 but the front seats are a little tight.

Some around here cant help but crack jokes. Its like a school yard playground.

I to agree that the seat can hit you in the lats if you have a larger upper torso. Once I started swimming again and such I noticed that I kept my shoulder blades elevated when driving the E55 because my lats were pretty restricted in the widest setting. No burger eating here.

The seat offered really good support but I can see where you are coming from. I would try to adjust the seat better before going down to an E500 seat as that seat will really not offer any sort of lateral support.

you can always look at the offerings from Recaro as they do offer some seats that are more for comfort than racing. There are some very nice middle ground seats that may fit your needs.
