New Custom Front Mount IC HE (2003 E55)

As mentioned on a previous thread.

I was finally able to have a new FMIC HE installed on my car.

The size of the OEM FMIC was not able to keep my ITA down, specially with an oversized pulley like ASP's.

Don't have an ITA readings yet, but there is no doubt my Kompressor is enjoying some relief.

I can hear the whining of the kompressor through the rev range and on freeway pulls.. car goes a bit sideways (bald tires and lots of torque)

all thanks to Brandon from CODE3 Performance (soon to be a sponsor on this board). He is working on a few C32 and E55 projects.

best of all.. it will be a plug in play to our stock pump, or CM30 pump. If you have an 03 model and have a bigger pulley, this mod is a must!!

Price from what I hear will be very reasonable.

I also mixed 50/50 coolant, water and Watter Wetter.

I didn't use Distilled water, but fill flush system very soon.

2005 E55
PM sent. I am ready I have a 2005 E55 and think the oil cooler is a good idea as well. Hope it will help keep engine temps down if it can keep oil cooler.

btw:

after a few days since the installation..

no issues so far. Other than I had to add a bit more fluid to the reservoir. No leaks and no codes.

Water Temp has managed to stay the same as before installation. So the radiator behind the FM IC is getting enough air.

I have ran the car hard a few times... and with this dry heat we are having.. no issues with power.

We are having 90 degree days in October with extreme dry conditions and the car has power all the time.

Transmission sometimes does not want to kick down, but I can tell the engine is ready to go.

MPG has suffered a bit.. but that is due to the happy driver.

I have a trip to Scottsdale AZ tomorrow... with the family. I'll take it easy, but I will stretch the legs a bit.

03's will have the chance to get the units sooner..

the 04+ E55 will have to wait until Brandon measures to account the oil cooler.

Over the week-end I drove to Phoenix... with 90+ weather, 2 adults ,2 kids, trunk full.. and AC 70%.. no power issues at all.

even as the elevation increased...

I need new tires badly.. so I have really tried pulls from a "digg" only highway runs.

the FMIC is just right and not oversized.

The final product will look even better and for the price, its a no brainer.

High IAT's as mentioned before on previous post probably is robbing power from your car. Swap the pump and your IC and you will have all your 469hp

It looks great as long as you leave the mesh in. Now if it was a Honda Civic then you could take it out for the MAd TyTe JDM l00k yO! Car is a sleeper so why try to change it, you know? Looks great, man.

Different oil cooler setup from what I could gather, the H/E is essentially the same.

Um if I recall correctly. I remember a debate about these big IC not helping AC, because they trap the air that was meant to reach them (I think)?
DO not know if this is the same case here

Any one care to elaborate on this?
