Deaguero,
Thanks for the info....the #'s sound great!
Just a few more questions; were these numbers achieved on a stock car or a stage 1 w/ pulley and software, or????

Do you have the dyno sheet available to post?

Thanks in advance.
I can't wait for them to arrive.

Well, looks like I have a few goodies to install on the beast!

The Headers look amazing!!!
Thanks Again Victor & Vadim

I will try and make a last minute appoinment for tomorrow or Saturday for Dyno and install

If I can't make it happen, it will have to wait for the end of next week as I'm flying out of town on Suday for the upcoming week.

Keep your fingers crossed for me

Take the heat shields off the factory manifolds and tack weld them to the vrus shorty headers and there is no way the inspector could tell!

How could replacement shorty headers affect smog tests? Cats are still there?

These are fine. there is no way that anyone could confuse them with the OEM setup. That is the point, get most of the gains and less of the hassle.
The Cats not only must be there, they must remain in the same location that they are in. That is where the shorty header compromise comes into play. It bolts right up. I can't wait to get mine.

HEADERS ARE BEING INSTALLED AS I TYPE!!!!!!

DYNO TOMORROW MORNING @ 10 AM...STAY TUNED!

p.s Unfortunately, i couldn't get on the dyno this morning. I will be taking it to the same dyno where I got my baseline done with just a kleemann ECU (# in sig). So we will have to compare my baseline #'s to tomorrow's #'s which I believe my car will be stage two....right?

IT'S ALIVE........IT'S ALIVE

Headers and filter have been installed along with the phenolic spacers.

I have only been able to drive the car in my parking garage and can tell you this....
I can now hear the supercharger whine like never before (which to me, is a good thing) The engine is breathing and ready to go.

I will post another reply after some spirited runs on the freeway home from work.....

DYNO TOMORROW AT 10AM.
STAY TUNED

Roseylv: The car was bone stock before we put the shorty headers on. It dynoed at 427 rwhp before the headers. After the headers it dynoed at 455 rwhp. I am trying to find the dyno results that were e-mailed to me from Chris at Floored Fab.(I recently moved from Arizona to California and I'm trying to locate the e-mail after changing Internet Service providers and e-mail)

deaguero:
thank for the info!

Well, All I can say is that I feel & hear a nice difference in the car.

I'm really impressed with the amplified sound of the blower + exhaust

Another nice little tidbit of info is that upon beating the hell out my car for 20 miles, I popped the hood and was able to touch the surge tanks atop of the motor (or whatever those things are called that say, "AMG" on them) due to the phenolic spacers. Previously, I remember after spirited driving, I by accident touched those things and basically burnt myself

Can't sleep, dyno in 9 hrs & 4 minutes

Well I'm back from the dyno.
I have attached my dyno sheet in hopes that someone can interpret what might be going on.
Am I satisfied with the numbers:::::Sure
Can I feel results from all of my mods::::::Sure
Would I like better numbers::::YES! I wanted to be in the high 470's
I spoke with Vadim and inquired whether or not my ECU needed time to adapt to the new headers. I have only driven the car a total of 40 miles since installing them.
What do you think of the graphs Vadim / anyone?

Also, I may need to recruit Bitourboamg to chime in on what numbers he got from my car (he was the previous owner) with a similar Kleemann setup. If I recall, he was in the 455-460 range as well (which seems pretty weak)

Rosey,
Did you have the pulley and the tune done after the 11/20 dyno or before?

The 20 degree difference definitely adds hp but I don't know how to calculate the benefit.

On the 11/20/2006 dyno, the tune was existing upon buying the car.

Pulley was installed a month or so ago and the headers were installed yesterday.
The weather was another reason I was hoping for some nice numbers!

So you gained 42hp with the ASP pulley AND the headers?

That is correct!

My car feels way faster than pre mods. I can assume that dyno's don't lie but I'll have to take the beast to the track and see what kind of improvements I see over my 12.92 run

FWIW,
I took my car to the same dyno as I did 1 year ago for baseline

What you're feeling is the 60lbs of torque that you picked up. That's a big number.
The A/F ratio looks a bit odd, where it rises and falls around 10 from 4,800 to 5,800 rpm's.

Maybe one of the experts can comment.

Exactly....try her on the track and see what results you get.

You have Johnson running on her correct? Just checking as the ASP officially will make your car a heat monster.

I agree with Vadim about letting the car adapt to the changes.
