Running this weekend with the M crew from NYC may have damaged my oil pan
. Headed to bear mountain and was a great trip unfortunately I may have broken my oil pan going over a damn bridge. Car is at dealer waiting to be inspected. After running I saw the smoke pulled over immediately, let's see the outcome.
Here is the video link on the M5 Board.

Out Of Control!!
Ouch!! What did you hit? They will need to replace the rear seal as well as the little dip stick thing or you will have leak issues later. It isn't a big deal.

Sorry to hear about that bro. Did it hit one of the oil cooler lines because the oil pan is pretty high up. I would think you would hit the steering rack mount before the oil pan.

Sorry to hear bro. Hope all is ok with your car.

Probably the oil cooler, not the pan itself. As Rflow mentioned, you'ld wipe out the cross member first.
Don't know yet but a lot of oil came from underneath after I hit the hole or bump what ever it may be. I will find out today. All I know is that after that hit, a few blocks down she was dead. lol!

Sorry to hear about this...Something simular happand our Fab Design Evotech SL55...white smoke after WOT runs... 2 times now...8th cylinder first was damaged and 2nd time he lost oil cap for thу transmission oil spilled and white smoke.. Now something with piston underneath...anyways car still pull hard with 7 cylnders...compression on 8th is just 5...
Crank pulley etc all ok?
Wierd you would get that outcome with no other debris like damage to the cover under the motor area?
I really hope its only an oil pan.

Soooooo sorry. Ouch. Is your car lowered? Do you think that might have had something to do with it?
When I called you from the track yesterday, I had no idea.

Damn... Sorry to hear about the damage...
One of the first items I replaced under my car when I slammed it with the lowering module was the plastic undertray..
AMG sells a metal version that they usually put on the Euro cars. This metal under belly tray protects the oil pan and bottom of the engine.
I would recommend these to everyone with a lowered car.. The only downside is that this piece weighs approx 20 - 25lbs if I had to guess. The extra weight, however, is well worth it for the protection it provides.
MB Part #: 211-524-02-01
The MSRP is around $290 if I remember correctly.
EDIT: One thing I forgot to mention.. Ask the MB parts guy to give you the BOLTS that go with this part.. VERY IMPORTANT!! The stock bolts on the plastic piece are smaller and weaker.. This metal pan requires a different set of bolts.

There are freeways all over my area that will cause this damage at speeds far lower than 145. That is why i never lowered my E55 more than 1/2 an inch. Any lower and you are slamming into the ground at every other freeway interchange and that just destroys the car and puts you at risk for things like this. Originally Posted by NickyBlack

That is the limiting factor of Airmatic. You just cant stiffen it for a figure lower than 8-10k.
Good luck getting the car fixed. that metal belly pan VRUS was talking about may be a good investment!

If your car looked like it was scraping the ground, I could understand.
I know you are pissed about your car being messed up, but cut the rest of us some slack, we are on your side here.

M5/M6 where on your tale trying to catch up
You got too excited...it happens...at least you was in front, not behind...it would of been worst if it be opposite way...
Hope everything will be OK...
