Last week I got my windows tinted with the supposedly top of the line 3M tint .. scratch resistint .. lifetime warranty .. blah blah ...

but, apparently there is some sort of dirt or something caught down in my door and when i rolled down/up my window for the first time it scratched the hell out of the tint!! ... i am so pissed!!

You guys need a moleskin kit. Google it. I bought mine here but I don't see your chassis.

You can add me to the list.
The only tint on my car that doesn't have any scratches is my front windshield.
I'm pissed at myself for not doing the felt guard. I knew about the potential of scratches and convinced myself that it wouldn't bother me. Everytime I look out my window and see the scratches i

You have to have the felt piece put in or your window will get scratched. When I had my S55 I paid an extra $25 per window and never had a problem. For those of you in the bay area call Rocky Mountain Window Tint in Livermore. 925-373-2577 tell him that Jack sent you.

I have to replace my 2001 E55 tinting every 2 years. I have not found a kit for the W210.

Yes Rocky Mt is the best in the BA, I've had 5 cars done by them never a problem. Taking the MB and having it retinted with the felt.

When I was getting my tint done by the co that does it for MB, they explained to me that I needed some protective material, else the some seals in the doors would eventually scratch the windows. The tint ran $600 for ceramic and the protective materials, but the windows are as good as new.

The only right way to get tint, is to have the mole skin installed while they have your door panels apart. If anyone is trying to tint your E55 without it, I would just thank them and walk again.
