I've been looking into making a Carbon Fiber airbox and tube assembly for the 63 cars... There is a good friend of mine on here with a CLK63 BS that wants something built...

Just want to see how much interest there is in having a kit like this made? Obviously I will try my best to keep the pricing similar to the 55 setup.. Maybe another R&D Group ??? $200 from each guy as a deposit which will go towards the purchase price???

Let's see how many people are interested and then I'll figure out what it would take to make one... What do you guys think?

Picture something like the below, only BETTER!

I've followed the 55 posts on this. IT'S ABOUT TIME Can the air tubes be bigger? is it insulated. Count me in as a major sponsor . You've done the reaserch so maybe a quicker turn time? So you did show gains from the 55 box and tubes?

Only if it allows for better breathing and there is a confirmed HP increase.

I do not want to show off the engine in any other way than showing the rear end of my car to someone who has their foot mashed on the thottle just like I do.

I am actually looking into making bigger air boxes that will CF and should add around 15-20HP.

Hi Vic,

Just to let you know the CLK63 BS picked up over 1+ MPG on a trip Sunday.

The combo of the CF Box and my modified intake tubes makes a difference..
