Good luck on that endeavor.

Do you think that concentrating on a few projects and getting them done would be a better idea than taking on many projects? Just a thought. Still waiting on that 55 turbo project from a long time ago.
Thank you!

Many times projects get stalled due to the fabrication of a particular part taking extra time. As an example, GT4088 exhaust flange is not made by anyone. I had to have machine shop create one from CAD drawing. It took two weeks to make it happen. Meanwhile, I worked on other projects.

I do appreaciate your concern, we are on schedule with them. As allways I will post updates.

As far as E55 TT project - client who wanted to do it backed out. If anyone else is interested I would be glad to persue it.

What are your thoughts, how to design everything and how long will it take and how much can it cost aprox ???...Also I assume I wont need any existing 55 motor mods...Will come and fix it if something goes wrong here

I wanna have world fastest G55 and brake 12 sec mark...

new balance
Vadim,

Curious as to how much boost you have seen on this 65 with the stock turbos after your IC and intake mods. Thanks. And any new info you have for me on the 600 would be nice, I have some info to share also

It is pushing 22 lbs, and than falls off to 16 lbs. at the top.

We are working on the turbos right now. I will have more pictures next week.

Stage III is under way.

The engine is out for head porting and cams.

I will update as we progress.

Man you just love to tease...

Hey Vadim- Are there any benefits of doing Headers for this V12? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Stock manifold incorporates exhaust housing.

Short of casting a brand new manifold, there is no way to make a new one.

BTW Brabus does make a brand new cast piece - $30K.

I will post pictures as we take it apart.

Turbo cars dont have headers, they have exhaust manifolds. IN this case the exhaust manifold is incorporated in the turbo. That is a **** poor design on the stock manifold by the way. I'm guessing they did that because of size constraints. Optimal exhaust manifold would be equal length.

Those are some cute baby turbos

They are also there for longevity, log type cast manifolds are very reliable. Tubular exhaust manifolds offer better performance but are also prone to cracking.

Either way there is some more power to be had by changing the compressor and exhaust wheels and possibly extrude-honing the exhaust manifold imho. At higher rpm's I bet those turbo's have way to much drive pressure.

Hahahah, Just can't justify pulling out motor for a too little of a gains. The day I pull her out it will be for shoot load of HP, lol!! Something like a turbo swap along with the manifolds etc...

I'm still not convinced the motor has to come out to remove the manifolds. The 335i calls for engine removal also but I have seen it done with out. The task definitely looks difficult but not impossible .

Yep, and we already know that these little puppies can't supply the new intake and it's going to be worse with head porting and bigger cams.

Vadim, any plans on modifying the stock turbos while you got them out?
Is there any room for oversized valves in these heads?

That would be awesome if we could take the turbos out without engine removal. That would be great.

This car is going to break some records.. I can feel it...

The main issue is going to be how to make it driveable... Brabus had some issues with 1,000lb/ft.. I guess we need to find a way to disable ESP altogether.. lol..

Actually I think what Vadim was getting at is that the turbine side [hot side] of the turbo is part of the entire exhaust manifold. All is cast as 1 piece.
