Re: refund

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FROM DoctorMax/pitbr:
*REPLY TO THIS POST TO SETTLE THIS MATTER*

Office is mailing a cashiers check TODAY but you must reply with written comfirmation agreeing to the following:

-You have not and will not file any fraudulent police reports
-You will have all threads calling DoctorMax or Pitabr a scammer DELETED.
-You will not make any new posts concerning this matter.

Once the above has been confirmed and acted upon, I will see to it the cashiers check is mailed out, otherwise we can just have our attorneys sort this out.

End of paste of PM from pitbr/DoctorMax
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DoctorMax: I agree to the above if a valid fully funded Cashiers check is mailed to me. If the check bounces or does not arrive this week then this areeement is null and void NO EXCEPTIONS!
send me a check number and when (day) you will be sending the check

If he sends you a cashiers check for more than he owes you, don't wire him the difference by Western Union.

Phil until you have money in hand and you know the check to be legit and non cancellable, you do NOT call off the dogs.

You sent your money in good faith, in advance and now he has the audacity to pencil you!!!

I completely agree...... deaguero, you should wait to confirm that all of your money has been returned to you before you cancel any action.

I think I'd be more impressed with a FedEx tracking number than a bank check number...... someting we could all easily verify - as could the recipient.

Odds on "lost in the mail"?

I suspect it's because he's only an amateur scammer. I think he got scared of actually having to face real litigation. His demands for payment makes me think he actually has something to lose in all this.

My Background!

ENDSMTG: not to reveal any details, I have been in High Technology for 30 years. I was an early on employee at Cisco Systems where we actually developed the infrastructure the internet is built on. I also have worked for a well known Security Company called ISS. We stopped the Red Chinese in 2006 from hacking into General Dynamics "Black Projects" area when no other security Company could do so. That was an unreal project! NSA, and FBI both were involved with our team on this one. I would have loved to see the faces of the hackers over there when we stopped them in their tracks and redirected their efforts to a black hole. IP is a hectic world and now Telephony is embracing it too. Anyway, this whole IP thing has created a bonanza for Hackers, scammers and the like. Our motto at ISS was to stay one step ahead and be totally pre-emptive. I still use one of their products that was derived from an older product of theirs called "Black Ice" it is now called Proventia Desktop. It has 5 layers of desktop protection (I won't go into what each is. Download for free on ISS's website (IBM bought ISS about a year + ago!)

deaguero:
Very cool background; and immensely helpful in this case.

Please update us on this whole matter; i.e. if/when you obtain the "cashiers check."

Man, I hate to see this site tainted with this kind of crap. This is where I go to relax, not to have my anti-scum guard up.

Thanks
