Question When driving your 55 or 63 do you use your turn signals or not?

I am in S Florida and am amazed how many people simply won't use there signals even when other cars are behind/in front of them no matter the road and its even worse on the interstate. How hard is it to just flick your wrist to turn them on and now they even have the 3 burst one touch signal. I use them about 95% of the time when driving all our cars and even when other cars/people may not be in close proximity. I have really tired over the years to make it a force of habit. It almost appears to be a case of either selfishness and or lazyness...the American way lol.

Curious how everyone else feels?

Yes, this is a no-brainer, but I run into my share of what I call "cell-phone yackin, minivan drivin women" who often believe, mistakingly, they are the only ones on the road.

I use my blinkers 100% of the time; ok, maybe 99%....

I use the three flash without fail, day or night, people around or not. I figure, create a good habit and keep it.

I always use turn signals. I am in Southern California and recently I noticed that a lot of people don't use turn signals.

Just to add to the regional mix, here in metro NY/NJ area, too many drivers think the stalk to the left of the steering column is there for decorative purposes - and is one of my major pet peeves while driving.

I think "dumbass-ness" and "I am the only person on the road -ness" is not unique to any particular region. Plenty of them here in the Mid-Atlantic Region

I use it all the time...when daily driving in anything other then clear roads I actually click it down and then roll...when it clears up I tap it and go because 3 blinks is all I need to get into a lane...and since the lanes are clear that's all they need too...

3 flash always...Problem is with 99% of the idiots on the road is they get in their car and forget that anyone else on the road exists.

95% of the time.

I loved Texas when I lived there but there are a lot of poor drivers.

The odds of a pickup in the left lane going 40MPH were the same as a pickup doing 80MPH. When they got together, there was plenty of blood and guts, but no brains.

Yep, same here. I use the three flash unless stopped at a light making a turn and then it is the fully flashy.

99% of the time, quickly followed by middle finger when the person doesn't want to let me over! Then I drop the hammer and force my way over. Most cars can't recover quickly enough to close the gap.

Wow good to hear so many are compliant!

Are you guys finding the non signal users are the one's in large SUVs/PU trucks that think they can do whatever they want because their truck is so big and most will let them over etc no matter?

I am also finding the neurotic 20-50 year old women that are smoking, putting on freaking eye liner (my God they should lock em up and throw away the key for that one!) and talking on the phone all at the same time while they are driving, with some even on the interstate

The Mass_ole way

In Boston, using the blinker only telegraphs to the other drivers your intention to switch lanes and cut in front of the guy next to you. The standard operating procedure in Massachusetts is to accelerate as soon as you see your fellow man try to merge in, thereby cutting him off and making oneself feel superior.
Hence, the turn signal is never used if one wants to switch lanes in Mass. You just pull a Crazy Ivan and the other car will have to yield to your insane driving.
Alternatively, if one has an E63, one uses the turn signal and then use all 507 hp to outaccelerate the Mass_ole, thereby achieving the combination of changing lanes and crushing his ego in one fell swoop. Bonus points if he is driving a poser from Bavaria.
