Killed a goat on the Interstate

I was in a remote part of Mexico earlier today and had just merged onto the highway about a mile or so back. I got on it to get around some slow left lane traffic (damn mule cart drivers), which included a really sharp, blacked-out GTO. He sped up some to try to hold me off and then conceded to let me go around. He stayed behind me for a few miles until traffic COMPLETELY cleared and I let him have the jump from about 80-90. I started about 1/2 car back and by 130+/- had 5-6 cars on him and he flashed his lights to signal game over. Just before I exited, he pulled up with his window down, gave a big thumbs up and said, "that thing is f'ing badass." I told him the same and went on to the office (really long commute). I don't know if his exhaust was stock, but it really sounded good when he jumped on it.

Nice kill --in the heat of Mexico no less.

I smoked a red GTO once, let him have the jump as well. Pulled him easy, needless to say his jaw was dropped at the next stoplight He didn't expect it.

It was a young goat, probably just a couple years old, the poor thing.

As far as the Mexico thing goes, that seems to be the only place left in cyberspace where you can exceed the speed limit without fear of prosecution, thus the chosen locale. The miles add up really quick on my daily commute (3,000+ per day), but the drive's a blast.

I guess that I've no one to blame but myself if a federale' (sp?) shows up at my door with a warrant next week.

I pulled on a GTO I raced almost too easy when I was stock. However, at the shop where I had my car dynoed, there was a GTO TT that was making over 700 HP with low boost.

Anyone have a ballpark idea of how much it costs to do that to one of those GTO's.

Around $10K in a shop that's familiar with the process.

I had a little GOAT on my way home today as well. Was really way too easy. Love the beast.
