I put 20" wheels from a CL600 on my E55 and they fit. To be perfect I would have had to change the rear tires from 285/30 to 285/25 or 275/30 but they fit.

I did the same a couple weeks ago with a set of iforged wheels from an S55. 20 x 9.5 with 235/35/20 in the front and 20 x 10.5 with 275/30/20 in the rear. No rubbing so far but we'll see once I lower it. According to Adam at Euroelites, a 285/30 tire would definitely rub.

You gotta tell us which year and package S it is.
The body that ran through '06 had offsets that were less aggressive than the E55 (I thought). I was always under the impression that i could run S rims, but with spacers. I hate spacers, so i never tried them.
CL rims seem like they would be more aggressive than the E, so I'd be careful or plan to shave them.
CLS rims are too aggressive and won't workwith anything fatter than 275 and even those rub when lowered.
Hope that helps. Try to get the offset info (it is on the inside of the rim).

I think it was an 2004 S55...but I'll double check and get back to you.
I'll also post some pics after I have the ELM installed.
I'm not so sure about the offsets, but if anything I would like to bring the rears in a bit so that I can fit the 285 tire and lower it a bit more.
Thanks

I looked at the backside of the rim when I was in the process of buying them and it didn't have any info re: offset. All that was posted was the diameter and width. The rears are 10.5 and I'm not sure if I have enough room to bring them in...we'll see later this week after I lower it.
