About the same as Chinese knock offs.
I saw your other post, I don't have any first hand experience with reproduction wheels, but that said I would still rather have reconditioned OEM or brand name DOT approved wheels on my 55, it is just too fast to worry about the wheels coming off.

Appreciate the candid advice
Tirerack sells both Made in Korea and Made in China wheels. Trust Tirerack? I was leaning towards ultra light forged for $2500+ or 1/2 price and I can get Pulley kit to offset the unsprung weight hit. Given this is only a leased car as well. Thanks, Mike

They don't do it themselves. They usually either have some one come do the repair on site if it's not too bad or send it out if it's pretty marred up.

Exactly.
The dealer just waits till you leave and then calls out WheelDoctors or whatever your local equivalent is, pays them $60 and bills you $130+.
If you search around a bit, you can get the same people to do it for less and they come out to your house and do it right in your driveway, instead of you having to go anywhere.
All in all though, if you're happy with it then you're doing pretty well. They didn't overcharge too badly...nothing like the $270 tranny flush they just did on my SL.

I got all 4 rims fixed from curb rash and painted black for $360.

You guys with curb rash either need to stop letting your wives parallel park and/or stop running the cars through car washes that use rail guides for the wheels.
I never again got any curb rash on any of my german wheels with low profile tires after I hired a driver for my wife. Also, I never run cars through automated car washes .... pay extra for a hand-wash or do it yourselves (good exercise).

The only reason I have any rash on my wheels is because of a car wash...

My local BMW dealer charged me $145 per wheel ($580 Total) in Dec 2005 and again $170 per wheel in Nov 2006. They subcontracted the work.
I probably could have negotiated a better deal, but I wanted to impress upon my wife how important it was that she stop trying to parallel park and instead use valet parking (or hire a car & driver) for those shopping runs into the heart of the city. Also finally trained her to stop running her cars through a carwash every other day (the ones with the wheel guide rails) and use the pricier hand-wash option instead.
Not quite grounds to trade-her-in on a newer model yet ...... I think she got the message .... there has been no new curb rash on her cars now in over 16 months

The cost depends on the amount of damage, is it a 4 inch scuff or is half the wheel chewed up? It it clear coat over bare aluminum lip or a totally painted wheel. Like others have quoted on here, expect to pay $50-$150 per wheel depending on the two factors above. I just googled it and found 3 places in my area that will come to your house or work and do the job on the spot.

'04 Silverado Z71 - sold all my Benzes and need another!
$40-50 bucks tops at the best in SoCal: Mag Masters (www.magmasters.com)! Trust me, they do great work and even recommended by HMS in Santa Ana. They've probably repaired, refinished, powder coated, painted, chomed, polished a hundred+ wheels for my buddies and I...
