2010 ss and 2009 cts-v
new car
i have a chance to get a 03 amge55 but i want the new ctsv the price is close. honesty what your feedback on this. thanks

The price isn't close at all. You should be able to find an '03 E55 for between $30-$42K. The new CTS-V is going to cost around $65-70K with options added. That's double the price. If price isn't a factor, I'd go hands down with the new CTS-V. It looks sick and has 550 HP/550 TQ with a factory warranty.

Yeah price difference is huge, I've seen E55 03-05s around $35K-$50K.
If you do get E55 always get an extended warranty but if you lean on to the CTS-V series good luck. Cadillac did a great job on features and quality especially that 550HP under the hood

2005 E55 AMG, 2005 E46 M3 ZCP
ive seen 03s go as low as 25-30k.
u can get a very nice 06 with warranty, CPO, and low miles for probably 50-55k.
the new CTSV starts at 57,000 and thats bare bones. u add options you are easily at a 65k sticker before taxes title and reg.
for comparison, theres an 04 CTSV (older model) for 27,778 here. and for that price id sure as hell jump into an 03 AMG.
i do agree with you, the CTSV is a very impressive looking car and when it comes out, its going to give me a decision on which 3rd car to add to my stable that includes the E55AMG and the E46M3.
itd either be the CTSV or a C63AMG.

As a previous generation CTS-V owner, I can tell you that it was a fun car but typical GM quality issues. Just like the C5 and C6 ZO6 cars. I do not expect the new CTS-V to be any different but will probably own one to play with for 6 months which is as long as I kept my last V. You get what you pay for with these cars, great performance attached to a marginal everything else.
This is not an argument for an E55 (but I would certainly own an E55 over a V if I could only have one). For the same $60K and change, go and buy an '06 V10 M5...it is a superior sports sedan in ALL regards.
The E55 is an Autobahn luxo rocket so very different from a V or an M5.
