why does everyone say that the 55 torque starts to level out at 5k and thats it ? meanwhile the 63 keeps climbing thru the powerband. only reason i went with a 4 do0r anyway is the need for a baby seat or i wouldve grabbed a viper or a z06 for sure .
after the renntech kit care will be respectable especially for a 4 door .

ok so we know that the 55's for hp increase and best performance out of a MB. Well my story is i wanted a new car and not a previous model . so if ur's is faster mines newer . lol beat that !!!!
going to do the renntech ecu upgrade and exhaust next week or two and then i will dyno again . and a lil sneaky pete 50 shot isnt out of the question as of yet .

Well, you stated that your goal was 500whp. All I was saying was that if you want 500whp, it is irrational to start with a 63 platform. No 63 engine has ever produced anywhere near 500whp and never will without forced induction, it is simply not possible to achieve an 80whp+ gain with bolt on modifications on a high compression, naturally aspired engine. The highest you can realistically hope for is in the mid 400 range. Your goal is impossible to achieve on the E63, its that simple. On the other hand, there are many E55's that have well over 500whp without nitrous. This car one example of E55 making well over 500whp.

The 63 can probably be taken to 500 rwhp in its NA form but it will be at the top end 6000 rpm and up, and cost more than most other cars to mod . You may want to do a search for information on the E 63's 7G
transmission .

You 63 owners that are serious about modding your cars need to talk to some people and tuners that know what they are talking about rather than just listening to some of these 55 owners that are so obviously living in the past. Don't get me wrong the 55 was and is a great platform, but do you really think MB is going to take a step backwards in the HP wars against BMW and Audi? I don't think so!
Evosport and I are already working on the next stages of tuning my car, which I might add DOES NOT include supercharging, a turbo or nitrous. 530+WHP is a very realistic number with this engine.
As for the cost, I really can't give you an accurate estimate. I had so many things done above and beyond the tuning portion. I had a roll bar fabricated, wheels, new steel brake lines, custome carbon fiber aero package. Plus I shipped my car to them and had them install everything so I don't know the actual price of the parts only. I would just call Brad at Evosport and he will be able to give you prices.

What does the S65 do in the 1/4..stock? Some 63's have already hit 12.1-2. Didn't think the 65 was that fast..with the added weight.

It's not that fast, a S65 does 0-60 4.5sec. and 1/4 mile in 12.7sec. That is fast for a car of it's size and weight, but not fast when you are talking about cars with 4.1 0-60 and 12.25 1/4 mile times. A half of a second at 115mph is over 6 car lengths (84 feet to be exact)...that is not even close in my book.

This Black Series 63 is flat out AMAZING in performance and LOOKS are off the shizzzzzzznizzzzzzzzle. There are some great options on the 63 now thanks to this project. Jcart has the headers and is making 62more HP than my CLS. The fact it is a 200 mph plus car is

The next thing is the 65 in twin turbo and or quad turbo (1K HP.). S class CL and SL 65s are what most E55 guys are moving to now. The potential in the V12 is incredible. Here is an S class running 11.07 with bolt-ons from RennTech.

The fastest Benzo is still the 55 on spray, so if all you need is quicks, go with the NOS on either the 63 or 55 and you have a 10-11 second car. Cheap too
Actually NOS on any benz seems to really make her MOVE.
