Kleeman Shorty headers. Any heat-type wrap easily bought at Home Depot? (don't flame me over heat wrap, or I'll have to wrap myself up).

Can't say as I would go that route, but perhaps 100$ or so at Jegs or your local performance shop for the some Thermo Tec would be great.

Thermo Tec at Jegs

Still think you should get um Jet Hot coated if you had time to wait (or other performance coating)

1++ or ++1 or however the fuuckkk it goes. Get them coated. We've had this discussion before and wrapping your headers is not a good thing. Do a search on this topic.

this is one of the topics i can't leave alone. DO NOT wrap exhaust parts with heat wrap unless you want to risk destroying those parts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there's no measurable performance gains to be had regardless of what manufactures claim. if you're worried about protecting other parts from heat, then wrap those parts instead.

I had my W210 Kleemann headers coated by Swain Tech with their White Lightning thermal barrier coating. It cost 275 for the headers and 200 for the downpipes. Heres a link but you will have to scroll down to posts 21 thru 32 to see my pics

https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w210/211811-kleemann-header-pics.html

If your headers are similar in size (shortys) they will probably be close to the same price. Swain doesn't have a set price. There are other companies such as Jet Hot who also do thermal coating but after all the research I did I came to the conclusion that Swain had the best coating. Not as pretty but better at stopping heat. Its amazing how much difference coating the headers makes in reducing under hood temps.

chiromikey your DEAD on with this issue. EVERY header I have ever seen wrapped DID NOT LAST LONG. The gain you get from the heat wrapping is VERY minimal, and the headers will not take the constant moisture well. Suit yourself, but if they were mine, I would also get them coated.

See yeah

Even without moisture issues, wrapping your headers promotes hydrogen embrittlement.

Not worth it, IMO.

As others have mentioned, the thermal coatings are a better solution.
