C43, SLK32, CLK63 Black Series
You might just have to take a loss on the car to unload it. I did with my RS4 when I traded it on a 63 Black Series and the RS4 was basically new with only 5700 miles on it. However, I was able to negotiate a good deal on the Black Series. It is great to be a buyer the current market but really sucks to be selling almost any high end car at the moment. The only recent model that seems to be going for a premium is the R8 which I just don't get. Great car but at $30K or more over MSRP, I think it is ridiculous.

2006 E55
As a point of reference I purchased a 2006 CPO loaded E55 with 16,100 miles for 57k. This was from a dealer and has a warranty till 9-2009.
The market is so soft that the dealer are giving screaming deals so you will need to be even more aggressive.

Wow, nice buy. How much was the original MSRP sticker, color?? Different colors and options are harder or easier to find depending on region is what I have found. Either way the warranties expire nearly on top of eachother so in that aspect it's a wash.

Seems like a great car, especially with all the options and even the very rare distronic option. Post some pictures if you can.
Good luck on the sale.....

Is our economy really that bad?
I saw a pre-owned E60 M5 forsale online $57k 23k miles. I remember those days where they put marked up atleast $10k for all the hot cars.

I guess the bright side of this is that the fear of taking a bath on my E55 has kept me from dropping big money on something else. Still waiting for that clean CPO 06 CL65 to come my way.

its not just E55 that are soft its any car with a V8 right now. H2's are buy one get one free. Im looking at some 03 E55's with about 40-50k for about 28-33k range depending on the options. But hopefully my buddy can steal one from manheim auction in about 2-3 months when they get even cheaper. Buy a mouth piece and a helmet and go straight into a wall, only way your gonna get the most amount of your money back.

I Just bought a 2006 E55 AMG with 25k miles from a MB dealership for 52k with 4 years or 100k left on the warranty. It's black on black and in excellent condition. There a few minor rock chips on the front but nothing noticable unless really looking for it. It has the stock AMG rims in chrome and looks sharp. I feel it was a good deal and I have the comfort of knowing it's a certified pre own vehicle from MB. I'll post some pictures when I get a chance. I couldn't get that grin off my face after driving it home
Initially I was looking at a Mercedes buy back 2006 E55 AMG on Ebay and decided totally against it.

copy and paste from edmunds.. Sad but true... Your car is worth about $10k short of the payoff. In real money, and for a quick sale.. $43k would be my guess. Ive seen 03's for Low $20's now.. Im talking $25kish.. Im glad mine is leased.

Where did you see 03's for the mid $20's?
What would yall go for? an 05 e55 or 04 e55? I can find a better deal on teh 04, but i think ive heard something about how there tend to be more problems with the 04's? Feedback Please..
