BMW is coming with a twin turbo 400 + horse power on a non ///M 5 series for 2010.
I really hope Mercedes ups the ante on the next generation E class and drops a 6.3 Twin turbo into the next AMG E class.
How much power do you think the next generation E550 will have ?
Probably around 400 HP..

Now here's the question of the day....How much power does the average unskilled driver need access to? As 300-400HP cars become very common, so do the accidents caused by unskilled pilots getting themselves into trouble.
Dn't get me wrong, I love the trend of HP but hate that it is being placed in "affordable cars" that will see the hands of very average drivers.

Agreed, and for that matter, how does having more disposable income to blow on a car make you a better driver? Seems to me it's just as likely to have the opposite affect.

^I kind of agree with your reasoning... but at the same time, most people who buy the AMGs or the faster version of any car normally buy them because they want the speed because they know what they're doing with it. But every once in a while a complete and total douche gets an E55/63, M3/5/6, 997 S/TT. Yous should have to pass some kind of test to even be allowed behind the wheel of one of those.

While we're making new laws... This should be a new law- If someone blocks an intersection, because there is traffic, and the douche behind the wheel doesnt want to wait behind the red light (would rather wait behind someone's red brake light 20 feet ahead), and the driver is blocking your right of passage to cross the intersection, you should have the right to ram your car into the obstructing vehicle. All I'm saying is that you should be able to if you want to. Lol
