E63 vs SRT8 Charger
Just had a run with a back SRT8 Charger (looked new so most likely 2008 model). The guy had non-stock exhaust and (not sure what else). Anyway, I was amazed at how fast these cars are. I mean my E63 was pulling away but just a little bit, the SRT8 was able to hang on no problem all the way up. I was only 1/2 car lengths ahead. We had 2 runs both with the same result, rolling from around 60/70mph.
Just checked out the specs on the SRT8 and it around 425hp, 420ft/lb torque, but is not enough to hang on to the E63? or is it? maybe my car is too slow
Albert.

not sure, may be is was modded beyond exhaust, who knows. I know for sure that my E63 aint that slow (based on the runs I had with vettes and M6 before), so it must be that this car was modded.

actually you would be surprised... the cheapest blower is $7,000+... that is alot for an american vehicle. most people just end up running juice

Shoulda been more detailed on my statement

I am not surprised. I ran a SRT-8 300C (buddies) from 60. He got the jump as I tried to manually put the E in 2nd gear. Net is that at about 125 I was still behind him (he cut a lane over on me) but I was reeling him in.
He was stock other than a Bently grill and aftermarket rims.
Once rolling, they run nice.

any car you give .5 second hesitation will take longer to reel them back in.
13.2 car vs 12.5 car is not a wide margin.
trap speeds around 108 for the SRT8 and 113 to 116 for the 63's on average..
except the few around here that are higher than 116..
again.. if you wait a few seconds to pull the trigger.. don't even waste your gas.. its going to take well in to the 3 digits to pass.
sounds like the MOPAR was modded and probably around 475hp or so to keep up with you.

I also ran one of the SRT8 wagons (only about 0-80) and killed him too.
