Did you know the lug nuts have the MB Star on them? Here is how I found out.
Ironic that the new FK-452s were sitting in the garage laughing at me as I pulled in the the collapsable spare on the car. If I only had the green stop leak I would have been SOL.
So this Sat I will have all 4 replaced. The fronts are only 50% gone. The rear right on close inspection has one little spot where I can see the threads.

Thanks!
How on earth did you miss that much wear? You should be checking the tires and pressures at least once or twice a month.
I do check my tires so I was probably adjusting for any small changes.
Remember, the picture is of the same tire just rotated 180degrees. Just my bad luck it was rotated so that I did not see this before driving off. I did check becuase I know I was getting low.
I can't believe that you allowed yourself to drive on a tire in that condition...
Over here (UK) a tread-depth less than 1.6 mm or 1/16 inch is illegal, and would fetch a fine of £60 plus 3 penalty points on your licence.
Apart from that, you are risking your life....
Would you tell me what the penalty is for the more common things people on this forum do?
Such as racing on public roads up to 120-140MPH.
Drag racing other cars a stoplights.
Driving down narrow leave lined country roads at 100MPH.
Top speed runs at 3am in the morning (probably 160MPH).
Thanks

The good thing though is that the wear is all in the center, unlike my G35 where the wear is all on the inner side of the tire, negative camber FTL.
Also, I don't know if the 452's is a great choice of tire for a car with such high hp. They have a very good tread wear rating, but they are not soft, and you will be breaking loose alot (mabe that is what you want lol). I have had good luck with Toyo T1r's, they have a lower thread rating than the 452's and they still break loose on my G35 that has only 350whp.
Bridgestone Potenza RE050a's are a great tire too, but they are alot more money!

But- you handling should have been suffering for a while - as your contact patch was significantly reduced.
I tend to slightly overinflate the Conti's to crisp up the handling / reduce the slip angle because of the fairly soft sidewall - but that's excessive.
New PS2's delivered so that should help the sloppy sidewall issue.
I've always had these falkens, even with my previously heavily modified car, they're great!
You're making a good choice man!
I don't know about the rest of you guys, but for me, here in Southern Cali, i have mad hooks up on the falkens too. Dirt Cheap! Think of it this way... for my STAGGERED 17's AMG wheels, i paid $360 for all four. LoL.

My point was, I leaned over the back bumper and looked at the entier width of the tire. Where it was rotated there were no threads showing. If it had been rotated 180 degrees I would have certainly seen it.
I usually run 40-42PSI. I like the crisper response. I am in general happy with the wear on one side of the tire. A little negative camber wear to this degree suits me fine.
Anyway. Sat evening I will talk about the new "shoes".
Jangy, as for the virtual universe..... suuure.
