What would you guys get..
Im looking at either the Range Rover HSE Supercharged, the ML 63, or the Cayenne GTS. Speed is not a factor for me. Just looking for a nice chill ride SUV under $100k.

I had an 05 Cayenne S and traded it on an 06 RRS S/C.
The Porsche was nice, but it was not very up to date as far as technology options go. Porsche's PCM system is about 5 years behind everyone elses. However, the car looked great... I had graphite grey metallic, over light grey leather with the full carbon fiber interior package. It handled very well, and sounded great under acceleration.
The wife drives the RRS. Compared to my car, it feels like a boat, is not as responsive as the Cayenne, and sucks gas. On the contrary it looks great and is a real truck. It is very popular with the Scottsdale wives club which can make it somewhat of a "girls" car unless you get black on black with blacked out wheels to make it look a little meaner.

Porsche 100% you can kill the car and it can take it. It rides much better than the ML and Rover. I had a Rover it was posh when I dumped 30k in upgrades into it but rode terrible and lived at the dealer. I took a beating when I sold it.
GTS is a sweet truck and You can even get a manual gearbox. I wouldnt mind having one myself.

I looked at a couple GTS' this weekend and they're under $100K. I ruled them out b/c the ones my local dealer had did not have parktronic. My lady needs them otherwise it's parking by braille.

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
Pass on the ML, Supercharged Full Size Rover is nice - Rover sport is absolute junk - and the GTS is cool...... BUT I would buy a gently used Cayenne Turbo for 95K or so.... friend just bought 08 turbo with almost no options but 20" 5-spoke wheels w sticker of about 105k I believe.....

No longer stock '06 E55, A3 3.2 Quattro, LRD4 HSE, R107 280SL
What about MB GL500 / 550?
Thats a nice clean machine, 7 full sized seats... but wont handle like the P-Car. Depends what you need it for...

I agree on that one, or a fullsize Range Rover. The Problem with the GTS is that its a little bit on the rough side! Probably not a chillin ride, but I guess you will have to ride them to know if you like it or not!

If resale matters at all to you, the RR will crush you. Most SUVs will depreciate like crazy in this market, so a lightly used one is probably your best bet. But it depends how you are going to use it. For a chill ride that can tow and carry 7, the GL 550 is pretty sweet. The GTS is a Toureg with some mods, but is a pretty nice rig, handles well, and you can get a stick. The ML63 is probably not a POS, I'd get a late 07, get it Certified for an extra three years to 100k, and have a better than new car because of the tons of warranty and save a bundle of cash. And if you are reallly just going to chill, get the diesel... yeah the fuel costs 10% more, but you get 30% better mileage. And if you drive them "chill", they have so much torque they actually feel pretty damn responsive. Plus I bet the resale is better. Just my 4 cents.

Im on my 3rd transmission in my ML63. It truly is a POS. I will never buy a car built in Alabama EVER again.
They can come out with a spaceship for all I care, I still wouldnt buy another Alabama product

I can vouch for Ed (Blue), his car has been in the shop over and over and nobody could figure it out. The car, face value, looks amazing especially with the 22 inch HRE's he had and that alpine blue color.
As for the Cayenne GTS- it looks excellent and I am sure the performance is up to par with Porsche tradition.

The interior is more comfortable than the E55, thats for sure. The leather is better IMO, very soft. I love smoking Subarus, Camaros and Evos all day long. When I first got it , I loved it, but the issues with this car outweigh the benefit of owning one. I saw a picture of the people that work in the Alabama plant, and well, they look like inbreds
If you are looking for a roomy interior, this is NOT the car for you. There is just as much passenger room as the E55, nothing more. If you want a kid hauler, I would recommend the R63, as it is VERY rare, and has plenty of room. only 100 or so were sold.
Overall, I cant wait to get out of this car. I have a 2009 C63 arriving in August, and cant wait to trade in the ML for it.

Blue,
I was merely entertaining the idea of swapping the S4 for one, never the E55. It has more room than the S4 for sure. I've been in one already a few times and was very taken back by it - really loved the thing. Obviously, the first impression is one thing, ownership is another.
I have a really good tech & SA, and when I asked them about the car they hadn't told me of any big problems with them... sucks you got stuck with a problem child.
Good luck,
