Perhaps....but I know that on my V3 Razr, GPS is only enabled after you dial 911 UNLESS you manually turn it on to be "always on" so that you can use the phone's navigation software....

I believe that triangulating through cell towers is the only other way to find someones genereal vicinity through a cell phone w/o the GPS activated.

Someone should post under their NORMAL userID from the store, just to reassure it's not one of the scammers trying to throw us off.

I was one of his first victims. The name above was direct from his paypal address - you do need a bank account for paypal. He has both New York & MA phone numbers. I have been warning people / forums/ paypal/ police of this guy for weeks. He is ruthless - not for long

i found this thread over at rx7club and i just had to post at the amazing community this board has.

all of your detective work is admirable to assist a fellow gearhead in need and it proves that there are still good people in our country. much respect!

That's really disappointing to me, an apple employee, that he works for the same man i do lol. He is working in a new store, and it seems rather unlikely that he can just walk out with a Mac that he hasn't paid for with all of the cameras there are, especially with him being a floor employee and not back of house, or in the back with the inventory. however he could have bought it with the discount we have and is reselling, which apple would like to know about if he is.
