Has this ever happened to you when overtaking?
When I overtake some cars, I use full kick down to go past quickly, as you do. The car that I have just went (flew) passed, flashes the lights at me. Happens to me quite often. Why is this? What is it like to be overtaken by a modded E55? It is very aggressive that other car owners are annoyed? I am confused?

It could be the puff of white smoke from your exhaust that they see when you go WOT, and they are trying to warn you. As you well know, that could mean water is in your block. You may want to have the car checked out.

If I'm in a 'normal' car, like my grand vitara, I can get away with absolute bloody murder on the road. If I try doing even half as much in the benz, people flick me off, do the flashing the headlights thing, etc. If you have the top or windows down, you can even hear people floor it to try and close you out of a lane change, etc.
I am not sure why...I'm usually not aggressive, and I always leave enough room, etc. I think it's just people being pissy.

lol, how on earth did you come to that conclusion...unless of course there's more than one puff of white smoke happening in this thread.

I think it's probably slow people's way of saying "you crazy *******"... I occasionally have it happen too, and it's usually after passing the guy/gal that drives so slow they are a moving road block.

Seems fairly typical of the UK etc... especially if you blast past them. Happened to me over the week end coming out of a double lane round about. I overtake a LR Defender infront of me as we exit the R/A and as I do so he decides to overtake what ever is in front of him ... ferker would not have got past what was in front of him in 30 minutes... anyhow he nearly collected me when he wanted to change lanes ... and he gives me the flashing lights episode... WTF? Maybe he appreciated the blast past!
Wierd though as I find UK drivers more than polite in traffic.
But then I did grow up in South Africa... now thats a harsh environment to drive in.
