This is a question to all those with 20 inch Rims... do you have any regrets...
1. Faster Rear Tire wear ?
2. Harsher Ride ?
3. Uncomfortable ?
Thanks ! I am thinking of upgrading the Rims on my car to 20's and before shelling out $7000 I want to make sure I'm not making a mistake...

I have them on my car. they look great, but you will need to drive differently. come the driveway to hard and they will rub. the car will be a little higher off the ground. ride is just a little stiffer, but managable.

I love my 20's. I was very hesitant to get them at first, but coming from Conti Sport Contact2, the difference is like night and day. I used to get a lot of road vibration and noise from the stockers, but I don't anymore (that is probably more a function of tire than wheel size). The TCS used to engage all the time with the 18's, but going with a slightly wider rear tire has reduced the occurance of the TCS. Be forewarned, you should run the 20's between 40-50psi, otherwise you run the risk of denting a wheel or damaging the tire from a pot hole. You have to be more careful around potholes. I've had no issues with rubbing on the stock ride height.

No need for lowering, the car will adjust by itself. because you are using a larger wheel the car will sit a little higher than if it were on 18's. I encounter rubbing if I am turning into a drive way and hit the curb too fast. I'll post a pic after I wash my car today. it sits perfect.

I'm confused by this statement. I am not sure what this have to do with lowering and having 20s. 
This sounds like you are using tires that are too big and have increased the diameter from the OEM specs.

I'm running 20's and lowered with ELM and I would not have it any other way. I ran 19's on my W209 CLK55 and for that car it was perfect. But for the W211 20's fill the well much better, especially if you are lowered. The key is just to make sure you get the proper fitment, try to avoid the use of spacers and make sure the tires are balanced properly and you should be good to go.

Thanks for the compliment. The wheels are by Asanti and the model is AF144.
I went with them because you can have the rims made the way you want. I had the chrome on the face of the rim replaced with brushed aluminum and then color match with the car. Only the caps and lip are chrome.

I feel u AMGRULEZ, i faced the samething when asking in the CLS forum.
I just got 20s on my CLS, two weeks later driving on LA/OC roads, my front driver side rim already has been bended..
To answer your questions:
1. Dunno yet
2. Yes, but you feel more "connected" to the road, not so isolated
3. Not sure, I would say it still rides pretty good consider the low profile on the 20s

20"s are for show, and yes the CLS can easily swallow a 20" rim. If going for show why not get 22"s..LOL
Either way just keep yer stockers so when the rims bend you can send em off for repair w/o losing the car.
