Planning on black Alcantara roof lining

I'm planning on pampering my E55 with complete black color alcantara which include roof lining. But it seems like I might have a little problem. The interior light consoles and buttons are in light gray color. Is there any member who might have done this? Any solution?
Or I have purchase a new black (or atleast very dark gray) interior light console? Thanks!

4 wheeled car.
I'm sure somebody can dye it... It's been done. I've seen it. I did a black headliner in my W210 E55, and I just swapped parts with a W202 which had the black dome lights and stufff.

I'd love to have mine black as well, but it's too much work and not worth it.

If I am correct E63 should have theirs in darker colors. For the E55, I'm not sure if I paint them, I might lose the symbols since they are too small?

4 wheeled car.
check and see how the CLS interior parts look like. Like my W210, it shared it w/ the W202. I know that the CLS headliner was black in either an AMG or regular trim, I don't recall. Might have been a designo. Either way, see what it looks like.

Real Cars
You could get black headliner optionally on the SL, and I have it on mine. Instead of dying, you might want to see if you can get a replacement OEM one. Would seem to be the path of least resistance, although will likely be expensive.

Stick with your lining, when your in the car with the black alcantra you cant see the detail, it just looks like a normal E class lining. Your choice though. Good luck

if you take it apart... im sure you could paint it to match the color you're looking for without cover up the symbols its just a matter of take your time and not rushing.

if you get me some pictures of your dome/map light ... some macro close up pics... i might be able to tell you if i can do it.

Thanks for the responses =) I will try to see if I can have the switches painted before actually spending extra money on the black OEM.\\

allied107,
I saw your previous post! The car looks amazing! Make me even more excited about having the alcantara lining.
I have a question. I've noticed that you actually painted the console but left the switches in original color. How does it look in person? Is it possible that you could show some picture of the console close up? Many thanks in advance!
