New Lexus IS/F on the road yesterday. Made NO noise.
Car actually looked pretty nice but my kid pointed it out to me thinking it was a tricked out ricer. OUCH!!!
I am turning left at intersection, he was going straight. As he accelerated to move forward and go past me, did not hear a thing from the exhaust. Needless to say, if it had been a C63, my windows would have been vibrating.
Fun part was my car picked the perfect time to start it's radical loping. Yup, right on cue, she starts rocking and loping on me. He must have been tripping.
Now that I am about finished typing I think I just got the idea, he was breaking it in like the C63 guys are now.
Didn't blow me away in looks but it did stand out in the crowd.
Wish we could have got it on, but had my 13 year old with me so it was all for the best anyway.

Ive seen a few on the roads, they've been in dealers for a few months now.. Nice looking, except for the fake stacked exhaust tips

also - the stacked tips looked straight cheesy. just doesnt match or flow at all...
). The interior was really nothing special. Very plain and boring. The only part I really liked of the whole car was the aluminum/carbon-fiber weave style trim. That was a real eye catcher and I think it'd put a sparkle in a young woman's eye. I do like the car, but with the stacked tail-pipes, sub-par interior, and C63-like price tag...I think I'll pass.
The IS had a cool nav and standard leather seats. I don't know why the new C-class has standard MB-Tex. I don't get the rationale. My IS was mostly perfect, but it was plagued with dash rattles from day one, which the dealership was not able to fully fix/detect.
My E63 is very tight, smooth and quiet - except for that nasty exhaust note.
Not one problem in the 6 months of ownership. But I would rather pick the C63 over the IS/F. Just my personal preference.

Sorry about the tangent

The car felt very light, very agile, and well built, but just didn't have enough extras over the normal IS. I think they needed more styling differences and a bit more aggression to make it stand out from the normal ISs. It reminded me of the C230 sport vs C32; both cars looked almost identical except for very minor changes. But for a first attempt into the performance market, I think overall Lexus did a good job.
I heard rumors that Lexus is working on a GS-F to compete with the E63, M5, RS6, etc..... Supposedly, it is to have 540 hp plus all the performance extras.
