As much as I am EXTREMELY competitive about my 1/4 mile time AND trap speed, they are used as a telltale to how my car should perform on the street if I encounter a vehicle that wants to do a roll-on, this goes back to your original post of walking a modified Z06 on the street. The bottom line is that you will get your butt handed to you BADLY by even a stock C6 Z06. You can talk in circles all you want, but the data is staring you in the face HARD. 112 trap? my buddies C55 ran a 112.98 bro, find a tree and steer hard left, collect your insurance and call it a day.

I just want to see how my stock Z06 would do against your modded E55. That's all. Win or lose.. I really careless. Let me know when would be a good time and day to meet up. The race I want to see is 40-150mph where no real driver skill is required. If you can make a trip to Irvine on Sat or Sunday morning, there is a nice 2mi stretch back road with zero traffic

I think Jangy needs to ask SleeperX how fast these stck Z06's with a good driver runs b4 he confirms this $$ bet. SleeperX's Benz was the monster E55 here in these parts. I'll always remember his 11.4 or 11.5 sec run @ over 120+mph.

PERIOD! fwiw- my regular c6 with headers & vararam ran 12.49@113.5 in vegas. my bonestck c6 zo6 in 90deg weather & +4500ft da trapped 123mph last wed(and it was 8th time down the track in this car). you live in san diego i live in vegas. i say we both take a drive and meet in the middle do some roll runs(on video) and settle this once and for all!
Jangy these guys may possibly save you a long trip and some $$ if you should lose! Do it!!!!!!!!

Jangy, I'm gonna tell you one last time since you are a long time member and I would feel bad for your family if you lost $25k being stupid. You are going to lose your money and you will be the laughing stock of the internet. I may even feel very generous and use YOUR money to pay for everyones track fees! Just accept the fact that you are delusional and that the stock C6 Z06 driven properly will beat a heavily modded E55 (to a certain extent; i.e. No twin turbos, no nitrous, or 2JZ-GTE swap!). Everyone is telling you what's up, please go consult your modification coaches at VRP and they will tell you the same thing.

If you take a stage 5 E55 and run a stock Z06 the out come is certainly not a foregone conclusion. Heads up is a different game and many times the slower car owns the faster car. A race is between the drivers not the cars and Jangy beat that Z all the more embarrassing for the owner since Jangy's car is a stage 1 car

Now he will have to race a stck Z06 with a worthy driver on this side since he's put the $ on the table.

Sorry dude. I made the bet with your buddy and fully ignored your comment about my tune. I never said my car (as prep'd for Fontucky) would take the awesome driver. Read around and you will see that the mods I have planned were already in place. I promised no NOS, but a TT is a possibility that I was already looking into. As stated before to your buddy before you dove on it, the bet was between a stock c6 Z06 w/DRs and a HIGHLY modified E55. If you think I'm going to de-tune (ala RennTech) my car just to keep the east coast dark, you are smoking seeds.

As much as I appreciate the intent behind repeating the same banter, I'd really prefer to see some data to tell why i will lose. Why can an E55 not be tricked out enough to beat a stock Z06 in the 1/4? Most importantly, post some times of the Vettes on our coast, instead of 1 run over and over again that happened to be in 30 degree weather?

I prefer first accross, because it brings into play the need to get a good launch with the pressure of the tree lights. But, I am willing to go with ET if that is easier.
My car will be a stage 5 in a few weeks (adding headers, CF Airbox, cooling). I will ask that my car be tuned for 100 octane and I intend to run 100 octane fuel.
The vette will be fully stock except for DRs (if you like) and it is your responsibility for bringing it to the track for this race.
Each party gets to non-invasively inspect the other car for 30 minutes and gets the opportunity to back out of the bet based on a disagreement on what a mod is or if it is present.
Each of us will give our wagers to an independent BEFORE the race and we need to decide now how we are to settle any dispute. Make it simply fastest ET on the money run. PERIOD.
Make it $25K minimum since I will need to spend some money on the trip. I am down to give say $5K each to an independent party as a deposit i the event that I do not show or you do not bring a stock Z06.
