1/8 mile times
Want to hear what you guys are running in near stock or modified form
I made 2 runs tonight:
Mods:
2003 E55 42k miles
K&N filters
SL55 Snorkel Mod w/ cut off air inlet wings
20" DUB wheels with Nitto 555 tires
Run:1 Ambient temp 88deg
Hot off the street no cool down
60' 2.066
330' 5.675
660' 8.617
85.859MPH
Run 2 Ambient temp 80 deg
Major cool down; I had 32lb of ice on the S/C and intercoolers for nearly two hours. It was still a littlle warm to the touch in a couple place when I removed the ice bag though. Also tried sneaky ECU reset right before the run.
60' 2.037
330' 5.446
660' 8.232![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
88.037 Mph
car felt really good and seemed to shift quiite a bit higher. Shifter left in S mode and ESP off for both runs.
So how does this stack up against other near stock E55s?

My personal best is as follows (stock):
60' - 1.795
330' - 5.107
1/8 - 7.827 @ 90.32
1/4 - 12.137 @ 114.83
Temp was under 60 degrees. The higher temps do make a difference and rob several tenths.
Your 60' times are not good. Knock off 3/10th's and do the math. Good luck.

Air temps made a huge difference no doubt. And the 60's do suck. Not much I can do on these tires. I probably won't run again for a few months till the temps go down.

run number 2 is impressive power for the temps. Better 60 gets you sub 8. The 20" rims need to go buh bye although they do provide a wider stance and contact patch. They slow your trap 4 sure. Thanks for posting , it takes courage to posty #s of runs in higher temps but you have added to the fact base that cooling the SC and intake leads to making more power
