Vadim picked my car today to do a compression and leak down test to check for any detonation or further loss of CR on cyclinder 5. If so and the price and turnaround time is right then I'm just going to have him convert it a 5.7 (like Havoc) and add two Garrett turbos to it.

That can't be right either...My previous dynojet run from Vadim (my siggy) got me 450rwtq already. Perhaps you should consider my 65mm pulley for $200. I almost guarantee you'll hit 500rwtq provided Vadim or somebody tunes for it. Your car has a lower CR than my C55 so it should be safe. I'll even ship it to you for free!
It could also be convertor flash causing the reading to be high which I have seen before.

My dream is to have two turbos on a 55, good luck Be prepared for alottt of downtime and a big final bill.

65mm pulley is too small with 10.5:1 compression ratio. Your c/r is only 0.5 higher than mine. No offense, but I can get one made for less than $200. My current 70mm pulley cost me less than that.

If I've already got some damage to cylinder 5 then I might as well do it rather than wait for the engine to blow-up completely and become unrepairable which could cost me a brand new replacement engine.

I already got a written quote from Vadim on a single Garrett large turbo piggybacked to my Kleemann along with engine work (bore, sleeved, pistons, heads, etc..) and it's actually pretty fair with a downtime of 2-3 months.

That would be awesome! Just remember that you are the guinea pig. Look how long Havocs car has been under the knife. 2-3 months is definitely not bad for downtime. Fueling/Tuning a car with sc and turbo is not easy. If I were to ever go turbo, the sc would have to come out.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed on cylinder 5 but I can't say for sure if I want it to go bad.

Robert, best wishes on a healthy leak-down test.
Failing that, a fresh longblock (with suitable compression ratio) and a nasty turbocharger or two may be just what you’ve been longing for.

AMGSC, let's approach this the smart way
If it turns out you are right about the SC, Turbo mismatch then I guess there will be TWO rare twin-screws available for sale soon! I know I get PMs all the time about selling my TS SC when I'm ready to convert to TT so I know I'll no trouble selling it if I have to.

Honestly, since my car was born as a Kompressor, I would rather put a Huge As Blower with some serious boost and no TTs, but we haven’t found a blower yet, so I opted to add TTs. If we find a bigger blower before or after I add the TTs, I’m definitely getting it.
Either way, we will have 2 projects going at the same time and we can both benefit.
What do you think?

If you go with the 5.7L, I say you should go with the TTs alone. I’ll go with the SC with TTs, that way we have both projects under way and we can find out which one provides the best power. I don’t think VRP would have a problem with scrapping the project that doesn’t work since they will benefit from the project that does.

Thanks for making me think more about this. I've made up my mind on a Quad-Turbo setup if Vadim can do it (if motor needs fixing). Two small turbos and 2 large turbos. 4 turbos are still lighter and takes up less space than an SC and 2 turbos. I would also have a lighter front end. It's still cheaper than SC's and easier to swap out if one goes bad. My Kleemann may be up for sale sooner than expected.
If you go with the 5.7L, go for it.

E55 (for sale if the right offer comes along)...too many others to list

AMGSC,
When do you expect to hear about your cylinder? Is a VRP tune Powerchip?

uhm
well if he is going to go in the engine ... and he is going high boost why is he going to 5.7? Probably has more room to put in stronger sleeves if he keeps it at 5.5.

It is a 5.4L fellas. And you want your cylinder walls to be thick so they can handle boost. Going to 5.7L isn't the best idea. Just rebuild with lower c/r pistons and forged rods and call it a day.

It's all about 1,000hp
20lbs. of boost with extra displacement should be close to 1,000hp just with a blower alone.
