I'm trying to hold out, but dang, I may bust a nut before this project is finished.
This thread should be a sticky (pun intended)
All joking aside, things look like they are moving along quite nicely.

You must not be married. I had to argue just to get clear side markers!
Way to push the envelope and do something different....and be successful at doing so. You may be setting some trends!!
Looks real good so far. Thanks for sharing all the stages of the work. Look forward to seeing the finished product!

Life is a compromise...it cost me for her "silence" but as long as she gets her goodies, the bills are paid, and my daughter has a an education...we are golden.

Just a thought, best to make sure that can of fix-a-flat doesn't end up shuffling around in there and shorting across those battery terminals... Instant fire.

Thanks...there is a impression of the cannister into the panel that also has two velcro strips underneath so that it won't move unless I pull it off. We were thinking the same thing.

Pics from 9/17/8...
Another couple of days closer to getting done...the complete interior will be setup tomorrow (headliner is done...delivery tomorrow). The trunk is getting closer to getting done...the muffler and exhaust tips are off and waiting for priming and painting...More pics Friday (9/19/8)...
Muffler and tips are off...tips are getting ready for priming and painting (candy black or chrome black)...
A pillars w/ new tweeter surround...the Focal tweeter will be covered by custom cloth grill...
Some interior wood trim now piano black...(sorry about finger prints)...
The reworked center channel location...there is actually a baffle that separates the speaker from the air vent...NOTICE the difference in size of the stock center and the new Focal center channel...
The nearly completed trunk...I'm loving the stitching in second pic (details, details, details...)...There is still a another trim piece covered in carpet for the bottom of the trunk...the trim pieces you see will be flush and in carbon fiber finish surrounding plexiglass.
The headliner pieces (dome light, handles, etc...) were all dyed black...
The backseat ski pass through...the opening will be covered with black plexiglass with a white MB star that will be backlit (w/ blue light that matches the illuminated door sills)...

Thanks fellas for the kind words...we were trying for something out there but not "out there"...while I respect the work, effort, and love that the HIN cars or the low rider west coast style have...that is just too over the top for me.
We wanted something somewhat subtle and detail oriented...something that would make you shake your head and try to figure out what is different and not something that would bust you over the head with bling...Oh by the way...this setup sounds frigging awsome...its not tuned and the center channel isn't in yet but the front stage and bass is just hitting really sweet.
More pics to come...

Geezus Christ dude..I used to mod my cars out all nuts too but its too hard to sell them. I had like 5 cars in 7 years...I think when I start getting sick of my car I start modding it hard, then it does not do it for me then I sell it and lose all the hard work and money, if ya plan to keep it..then cool but if you are doing it to stop the itch of upgrading...look out..

What a waste of a beautiful car...
I kid I kid, this thing is amazing! I have one request and that is to consider painting the calipers blood red. With everything blacked (and done right may I add ) I think the red calipers would give it an even more aggressive "I'm going to eat you alive" look... just throw some red tape over a caliper in the front and compare the 2. With that said everything looks amazing, can't wait to see the finished product!
